I've drove to this place about 6 times and it has only been open 1 out of 6 times. This place is literally never open. The hours on the website are all completely wrong and they also never answer the phone when I try to call to see if they are open. 2 of the times I showed up the bar tender claimed there was a private party and no one could be served but there were people at the bar ordering drinks. Not sure how this place stays in business it has a huge atmosphere but they always have about 3 people there and claim it is a private party. Just wish service was better!! (:

First off, the AC was broken. It's 90 degree weather & we are partially sitting in the sun on the roof top area only bc they had fans. The sodas were semi flat & came in styrofoam cups with no lids. No menu at table so you order from the bar & they come & bring you your food. No one comes to wait on you. They only bring you your food (like going to Backyard burger fast food chain). The food was ok. Maybe it's nicer during cooler weather. Very unique menu with lots of barbecue options with an Asian flare. Mostly everyone in our bunch got a basic burger style. I would not recommend going here. Overpriced for mediocre food & no true restaurant service. Only went bc it was our friends bday.

My review is based on my experience with their food through the Major Menus delivery service.Forgot to bring my lunch today, saw Bumsteers was our Major Menus restaurant of the day, and thought I'd give it a try. I love a good burger, so I had high hopes. I ordered the Jam Bam Thank You Ma'am, as I am a s***** for bacon jam and a good bread and butter pickle. What I didn't expect was the insane level of pepper with which...something...was seasoned. I'm not sure if the pepper is in the secret sauce, or the bacon jam, or if it was just applied all over very, very liberally. I like my food well seasoned. I don't mind a bit of heat. But this had so much pepper that I couldn't finish it. Very nearly all I could taste was black pepper.I don't know if someone just stubbed their toe on the seasoning today and dumped in a lot more pepper than usual, or if this is how this particular burger rolls all the time. If I order from Bumsteers again, I'll likely try something else, as I don't want to chance this level of seasoning being a regular thing. It's no fun spending money for a burger I can't eat.

The rooftop dining is my favorite, with a playful atmosphere. The menu has such great options that every time I go I’m planning what I will have the next time. As for portion size, you better be really hungry, or expect to bring home a go-box. Adult beverage choices have a nice selection of beers, as well as margaritas and a couple of unique frozen drinks. With the food, games, and beverages, it’s like a permanent tailgate!

First time coming here and service was awful. It took almost 30 minutes to order at the rooftop bar that was half full. We came with the intention on spending the night here but only stayed for two drinks. The bartender was the worst I've ever seen. The food wasn't bad, a little to salty but not awful. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Overall the food was delicious and I'll definitely be back. The Bum fried were awesome and definitely enough for the table to share. I gave four stars instead of 5 simply because for $10ish per burger your entree should come accompanied with some sort of side. I realize that this is the norm within Baton Rouge, but it's really a trend you don't see elsewhere. Good tasty burgers otherwise though.
