Restaurant week 2019: could not have loved it more. Food was so good. Service: amazing! Went in a few weeks later on a Sunday and was only offered a very limited “game day” menu with basics like sliders/wings/fries even though there was technically 40 minutes left on brunch. Should have left when we were denied brunch, instead stayed and paid way too much for mediocre bar food. Still on the fence about a 3rd shot.

Love the Patio Bar area outside under the large fans to watch LSU games. (I have not yet eaten in the main dining area) Centrally located right outside of campus on Burbank so it's easy to get in and out of even on a home game. I have eaten and drinking my way through the entire bar menu. My faves are the plantains, crawfish and corn fritters, Caribbean Mule, Cabana Classic Mojoto. Love the Caribbean atmosphere in Cajun land.

I have hosted a few events at this place and it's AWESOME! They are very easy to work with and the patio space near the volleyball courts is huge! The food & drinks are always delicious. I'll definitely be hosting more events here!

Horrible service. Waited at this place 55 minutes to have food served. They made us pay in advance so we were stack with waiting. Every time I went to check we were told that it would only be 5 more minutes. When we finally got the food it was cold and the tortillas from the tacos crumbled when held. Won’t be back to this place to spend 50 dollars on their mediocre cold and expensive food. Too bad, the place is otherwise pretty

It's huge open-air bar and activity area, equiped with what looks like a 20- foot screen, is a great place to watch a game.

If you like unique menu selections and spicy style Creole and Caribbean flavors then this is a very good restaurant for you to try. We had a small sampling of items which included the soups, salad and fish tacos and it was all very tasty. The environment is very casual and open which felt very relaxing. The only thing that we think can be improved a bit is the service. Not bad service just not as attentive as we would like. Overall a good choice for a casual dinner.

Good drinks. Nice setup. Volleyball courts and a bar and a restaurant. Did not try any food. Will be back soon to try the food.

Cool place, TVs by the bar on the inside could come down a little bit because it's a bit of a stretch for my neck. The waitresses are not in sync with the menu or management. The food is surprisingly quite tasty and fresh. Tried the nachos on game day and they are definitely worth the $8.95 for the tray they give. There is a back patio as well as indoor seating.

Mediocre service and shockingly bad red fish... the vegetables were decent I guess...

Copious space for a large event. The menu is not vegetarian friendly nor is it kid friendly. The focus is on drinking, hence the large bar, and sports. We attended a party here but did not try any of the food or drinks as they were not s suitable for us. Note that the venue is difficult to spot from the road. The main sign is labelled as "The Oasis", not "Creole Cabana", and the building is set far back where it is hard to see from the road, especially travelling eastbound.

Well, new place for oysters probably not going to be back. Thirty minutes for a dozen raw oysters, one hour for chargrilled (they don't turn the grill on until the first order). Don't know how this is my problem since we made it a priority to get here early but whatever. Most likely one of 2 tables there and service was slow as molasses. Frozen margarita had so much sweet and sour I got crippling heartburn! X/

The food and drinks were delicious, and the atmosphere was nice, however my friend requested a sample of the curry, which never came out. Our server was overwhelmed and we had to ask someone else about it, and never heard back, and our waiter eventually admitted that the kitchen lost the ticket and was too busy to get it to us in a reasonable time.

My first time here and now way I'm going back. Beer was barely cold, appetizer took over 30 minutes to come Out, entree came out over an hour and a half after we ordered. So if you're hungry, and want cold beer, do not come here. Now if you want to play volleyball, then this is the place for you. Just DO NOT come hungry or want cold beer. Poor managers are working so hard. But I still will not come back. The food that finally came out was good but holy moly.....it took forever. Oh I forgot to mention the fly or whatever bug that keeps flying over our faces. So to give a timeline, we got here at 7pm and it's 845pm and still no dinner
