Cleaner place yes but food is nasty worst Chinese I’ve ever had and I’ve had bad. It had no flavor it was just water I ordered shrimp and lobster sauce egg roll and dumplings fried the dumplings were burnt and them steamed at the bottoms the sauce on the lobster sauce was water with very cheap cheap cheap lobster not even close to just cheap and the taste was disgusting I threw it away the egg roll had a nasty taste it was just horrible first time there and will never return then they man when I get there was just texting all on his phone it was not worth my money don’t go

I ordered delivery. The shrimp and lobster dish was rubbery shrimp with a clear liquid with peas and carrots, the egg drop soup was horrible, the dumplings were good but needed to be fried longer . They also forgot the drink I ordered. Not a happy customer .

Food was fresh, hot, wonderful. Love that they have delivery option. Shrimp and broccoli needed a bit of salt. Shrimp Lo neon one of the best we've ever had.

I read another review right before we ordered that said the appetizers and egg rolls were delicious, but the entrees were sub par. Definitely should've listened. The fried dumplings were really great (although they were not as fried as most other places make them) and the egg rolls are delicious. Seriously, my boyfriend took one bite and immediately complimented them. But the entrees were definitely mediocre, and I really wanted them to be good. We had the orange chicken and beef with broccoli dinners, and both were meh. My chicken especially just tasted like cheap, over cooked meat. I have honest to god made better orange chicken in my own kitchen, and I'm no talented cook. Will order again, but only for the appetizers.

I decided to try Gourmet House because I left my wallet at home and this is one of the few places in town that accepts Apple Pay. The restaurant is bright and inviting with friendly employees. I ordered the Mei Fun Shrimp, General Tso Chicken, and 2 egg rolls. The egg rolls are off the chain! They are super crunchy on the outside, but soft and smooth on the inside. The egg rolls were not greasy, which is just what I want in an egg roll. The Mei Fun lacked initial flavor, I added one packet of soy sauce, which greatly enhanced the flavor. The shrimp in the Mei Fun were small, and I question if they use Louisiana seafood, which they should. The General Tso Chicken was most disappointing. The rice was dry, the sauce wasn't spicy as it usually is from other places around town, and the fried rice came with pork, which we were not expecting. They do give you large portions, so there is plenty to have for lunch or another meal later on.

We ordered dinner here through Waitr during the ice storm of 2018. My roommate ordered the sesame chicken and fried rice and I ordered the orange beef which came with fried rice and a spring roll. We also ordered steamed dumplings. The food was delicious and filling, and the best part was that it was a great price! The portions were generous and we had plenty of leftovers. We will definitely order from here again!
