Port Royal has a better selection of craft brews and liquors than most higher scale bars. The bartenders and regulars are welcoming enough, especially if you engage and get to know them. It's always a good time when you manage to drag your feet through the door after a long day.
Port Royal has been my home away from home for years. This little "hole in the wall" connected to Waffle House on College Dr. is far more than that. Bartender, regular, tourist, walk-in, neighbor.... all are friends in a short time! Great selection of beers, wines and liquors. Best kept secret in Baton Rouge.... possibly bc it's tucked behind the Waffle House and we like it way ;)

Dark and secluded, I go to forget about my day and unwind with all the regulars and bartenders. Drinks are cheaper than damn near any other place in town, and the selection is usually much better.
