It was a fantastic place for years!!! My wife's family are related to Ralph and Kacoo. There's a major street going to run through their property

I vomited all night long after getting the catfish and potato here. The rest of my family felt nauseous too. Do not recommend ):

The hostess greets you and is very delightful. The fresh and saltwater fish tanks are a beautiful observations while waiting for your order to go or dining in. The gift shop is large and makes you take your time and see what is on sale. The grilled redfish with the sauce, and sides was an amazing "Catch Of The Day" entree. The fish melts in your mouth and has a very pleasant firm texture with char grill marks. The fried crab claws are also a great appetizer.

We really miss Ralph & Kacoo's that is being renovating since last June, 2019. We can hardly wait for it to open up again in June 2020 again, We love eating there for lunch specials to celebrate Birthday & Anniversary.

Simply put, the best tartar sauce and hush puppies around. I have tons of fond memories growing up with the catfish and seafood platters. However, the atmosphere was unique and featured Cajun music playing throughout. Recently, they started a happy hour with food and drink specials. I had my graduation dinner from Loyola University there, Father's Day dinners with my dad, and other special times there.I have stuck with them through ownership changes and menu item shifts. They are one of my favorite places. It saddened me when the location in the city in which I live closed. The food lives on though, and I will make my way to the remaining open locations. The catfish went through it's changes, but was true in the end. The lunch special for 9 bucks (catfish, shrimp, and fries) was full of quality. It's worthy of 5 stars, and their homemade garlic hot sauce was deliciousness in a bottle. FYI: They have the best and most unique Caesar dressing around.

So, there are cameras in the men's room.

I hadn't been here in several years until last week. I brought a business associate here on the way to the Metro Airport because it was convenient and I wanted to check it out again. Although the service was slower, even with a very few people in the dining area, it wasn't as bad as some. I enjoyed the Mardi Mahi Mahi topped with crawfish. She had the stuffed shrimp, but I could tell she wasn't enjoying her as much as I was mine. I almost stopped her from ordering it because it's such a simple dish, but I didn't. She said it looked to be crabmeat around the shrimp, but didn't taste as good? She left the stuffing, but ate the shrimp and green beans. The hush puppies were as good as I remember them for!

Service and food are really great! The Ralph’s Platter is amazingly good and a great value for what you actually get on the plate.

So, there are cameras in the men’s room. Seriously, camouflaged in black to match the ceiling, right over the stalls, there is a camera. It is pointing right at the urinals, so I guess it would get some nice back shots... ...unless it has a wide angle lens. If so, then anyone in the last stall (the handicap stall, I believe) doing a number 2 may have an audience of 2 (or more). Perhaps the proprietors suffer from acrotomophilla, or some similar affliction. Or perhaps the camera is equipped with a standard lens. A lens pointed right at the urinals. Sure, all you will see is the backs of most guys...but watch long enough and I’m sure a kid or three will turn a bit to the side, maybe even all around, before zippering up. I’m dead serious. There is a camera in the men’s rest room. I’m not making this up. As for the rest of the restaurant, the food was ok. My meal (the Ruby) was nothing to write home about. The Grouper fingers were boring. The Firecracker Shrimp were pretty good, but not at all spicy. Our waitress, Marie, was excellent and very attentive. Yeah, not likely to go back at this point or to recommend the place to a friend.

Food still good, but was better 20 years ago. Good service.

Great seafood even though our waitress was slow and nowhere to be seen most of the time.
