When I arrived, there wasn’t one open seat in the house. The servers apologized for the potential 45 minute wait. I decided to order to go, which took my wait time down to 30 minutes. They offered to get me something to drink, and they worked quickly to get my lunch ready. The food was fresh and cooked with perfection and love. I had the Poule Rouge, it was phenomenal. My mother had the fried shrimp platter, it was good. My father had the real roast beef poboy, it was good. My grandmother had the fried catfish platter, it was good. Our appetizer, fried okra was phenomenal. Our server and her service was pure waiting and worth while the wait. The food was fresh and hot when it got to the table. That's great service. I definitely recommend this place....read full review

TOLA was even better than I remembered! I had lunch here 4-5 years ago and it was very good-not sure why I haven't been back. Well, some friends of mine and I came here for our annual Christmas lunch and I am so glad we did! The customers were pretty steady as it was the Saturday before Christmas, but we never felt rushed and were well taken care of! Our waitress was a pro!
