The server was kind. Check out host was also very kind. Was a Sunday evening we went so it was a little busy. After much wandering around looking for a preferred booth seat, we settled on a table that we could find to fit the three of us. The booths were taken up. Aside from one near the door of the server ally and the cusions where in need of serious repair. The location of the table is already unattractive, being right by the server ally door. But to also be torn up is a letdown. The bread is everything, and these rolls were hot, soft, and little under baked, but that didn't stop us!This particular visit, the mac n cheese, was like noodles in yellow water. Total bummer cause it's usually very thick and creamy.The ice cream machine was down, and that was a disappointment for the kiddos.I also couldn't help but notice that the plates we eat off of are worn. I get its a buffet with a few hundred people eating off the same plates every day . But it's kinda a turn-off / appetite killer to be reminded that the plates are being used by other people. All faded and scuffed up. I mean, other restaurants feed hundreds of people, too, and the plates don't look so used up. ?Sweet potatos was bomb, btw. Also, my normally picky kid enjoyed some catfish when we went. That was a delightful first.Shout out to all the kitchen staff fighting through the weeds to keep those trays full and the bread coming.Parking: The parking lot is rough. Lots of pot holes.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendliness is so-so.

Excellent food and portions. Great staff but overworked and underpaid. Do better. 4 waitresses for a busy Saturday is wrong. The 300 people paying 15 each said you can afford to do better than $2.35 an hour.

Food was good. Our waitress was attentive and we didn't have to ask for drink refills. The atmosphere was a little different than the last time we were there. In the booth across from us was an older woman with 2 bratty kids. She allowed the youngest child to go to the food bar by herself. The child was way to young. After the child got her spaghetti, she had dropped some on the bar and then picked it up with her hand and threw it back into the pan! My husband immediately went to the gentlemen putting out hot food and told him. They pulled the spaghetti off the bar and made an announcement about children under 12 are not to go alone to the bar.The other child kept fidgeting and ended up spilling her drink on her and the older woman.The scene in that booth was absolutely ridiculous! This is in no way a bad reflection on the establishment but on the woman that didn't make them mind from the beginning.

I didn't feel like massive crowds today on Valentine's Day so I decided to to hit Golden Corral for the dinner buffet right at 4. Welcoming staff when I walked in. Was accomadated immediately. I decided to get the sirloin steak well done, a baked potato, fresh garden salad, finishing it all off with strawberry shortcake. It all was delicious and fresh. I loved the steak station. The chef cooked my steak perfectly. Was a great experience for just $16.99!Vegetarian options: Salad bar
