This used to he one of my favorite sushi bars. I will never go back. Serving staff has been fully changed out and the current servers do not care. My last two visits have had trash service with last night being the worst. Our server only appeared to take our order and then to ask if we were ready for the check. When the food runner sassed his way with my food, I told him that wasn't what I ordered. He walked away, checked the ticket the server printed, out server called from across the room that it was right and the food runner put the food in front of me saying "that's yours." I had ordered a sushi combination plate (a menu item that consists of 8 pieces of nigiri, a roll and a hand roll). What I got was a chicken teriyaki with sushi. Yesterday was good Friday and I wasn't eating non-seafood. I have never in my life had a server tell me what i did or didn't order. My previous visit had taught me the utter uselessness of speaking with the manager so I saw no point in trying to see if he could understand the simple concept of bringing me what I ordered. I will never be back.

Used to be a favorite for us, not as much now.The food wasn’t terrible but wasn’t nothing crazy either. And our server wasn’t great, he was rude and we kept having to repeat ourselves, he was trying to take plates before we was even done, giving us our checks and basically rushing us when we wasn’t ready, and then just standing there while the other servers are rushing around. Again, we used to love it but it’s definitely gone down hill.We haven’t been in a little while and just wanted to test it out, we sat in dine in and not hibachi this time.

Out of all the years I've dined at Nagoya, I've never had a problem. Yesterday my friend and I dined on our lunch break and after eating a few bites of my food I found hair in my rice. It took me a minute to get the attention of my server and when he finally came to our table he tried to tell me I did not have hair in my food and that it was probably a piece of egg before he even took a look for himself... Once I showed him the hair he apologized and I immediately thought to have the food taken off my tab but I did not want to be a bigger hassle for the staff so I trusted them to remake it TOGO so I could get back to work and store it in the fridge (I work 5 minutes from the restaurant)...... Upon reheating the rice I ate a spoonful and it had the weirdest after taste.. confused, I decided to smell the rice and it smelled just as bad as it tasted. The smell was that of sour milk?!!!!!! I immediately threw it away and I should have known better than to trust the food after the first encounter. I AM LIVID because I still left the server a tip before leaving the restaurant, just for them to mess up my food not once BUT twice!!!!

We ordered a roll as an appetizer 10 minutes before placing our dinner order, the roll came out after we had started eating our dinner. No option for noodles in place of rice and there were charges for any minor adjustment requested. Food was average, tasted ok but nothing too exciting; signs of wear in the building need to be address (light bulbs out, soap dispenser out) and also be able to get to bathroom through the darkened hibachi room. On a positive note our service was very attentive and took great care of us.
This place has the absolute best clear soup. My son literally tries to drink it through a straw. The hibachi is so good too. I have to have egg free fried rice so it’s made separate and always just as good.

This was my worst experience ever. The food is really good but the service it’s terrible. It was my birthday and I was waiting to go to the restaurant and have a good time with my friends but the server was so rude to us. She made my birthday experience in that place terrible and when we wanted to take a picture in group she refused to go to the table again. We were literally eating and she just came with some boxes and the bill just for us to pay. She was Disrespectful, unprofessional, immature absolutely rude. I called them 2 days before to make the reservation and when I got there, they didn’t have a place ready for my table. This was the worst experience that I had in a restaurant. I’m a server too, I have worked in restaurants for a long time so I definitely know exactly what I’m saying.

I am not one to make reviews but given my experience I feel It is necessary. I came in for a friends birthday and was greeted by our server in a rude manner. My friend began to ask the server questions on the menu, immediate attitude was given. We let all of this slide however as soon as the chef was done with the hibachi, the server took it upon herself to drop checks. While our plates were still full of food. We started to get the message that we were not welcome. We packed our things but before we left we wanted to ask for a picture. As we are trying to get the servers attention, we notice her and the other servers gossiping and staring/laughing at our table. As she is gossiping, she notices us and walks over with attitude. Takes our picture and we immediately leave. Don't know when I will be back. I've never had a restaurant give me such a bad impression.

I went to Nagoya with my best friend for lunch and I ordered the spicy tuna roll. Well they brought me out the spicy 2 in 1 that has shrimp in it and I’m allergic to shrimp so I told them about it and the waiter caught an attitude. I also ordered the Nagoya friend rice with out shrimp and it was old and bland and wasn’t good. Then we were waiting for our server to come back but never did and waited on other tables besides ours and didn’t come check on us at all. We finally had to ask somebody for our checks and they didn’t bring it either so the servers was terrible and it took us forever to get our checks. The servers were on their phones and didn’t really care about the customers. I will not be returning until they get better service.

After paying for my meal and to-go order, I asked where my to-go order was and was told, “Well, sweetheart, that roll takes a while because it is deep fried.” Didn’t need that attitude when I just spent almost $30 to not have a nice experience. And what do you know, my roll was sitting on the sushi bar at the time she told me that. Also, we saw multiple employees on their phone instead of tending to tables and checking on them. Will not be returning.

Food is ok, not the freshest sushi. Did not eat anything raw on my plate due to the fish having a smell. The hibachi side seemed like any other hibachi, same act by the chefs. The men’s bathroom was disgusting. Had a horrible sewage smell and seemed as though they haven’t evened cleaned in a while. If the public side looks disgusting imagine what it looks like in the kitchen. Service was ok. The server was trying her best but seemed a little overwhelmed. Will not return.
