Way nicer on the inside than the outside! I was only able to make a quick visit, but I had a wonderful conversation with Sonia the owner. She recently lost her husband, and also the long-time bartender and between this, the damage from Ida, and the heat this summer I think things here are scaled way back from what they used to be. But the history of this place and the warm welcome you'll receive make it totally worth a visit. It will be my first stop the next time I'm back in Houma.

Just a warning to the wives, whose husbands are working in Houma.. the waitress Mary is a homewrecker. She works at quite a few bars to. If this is a family establishment, you guys really need to get rid of her. Our company was down there after the hurricane fixing roofs, and she just could not stay away from my husband texting him all hours of the night.

This is a cute place to go to for a down home Cajun vibe.

Great place to have a baby shower when you need something way bigger than your living room but not as big as a reception hall. Lots of tables and chairs and plenty of room for the future mom to open up what must have been 100 presents.

Exceptional, true cajun experience. The staff was like family. I had to look in the kitchen to see if my mother was there. Real food!!!!

Great food. Fantastic people. You can not buy this type of ambiance. This is the first 5 star review I have ever given. Price per quality and amount of food is incredible. It's like going to a fantastic old building and looking around with no pressure, and then boom best comfort food ever.

Jolly burger is a good old style burger. Lunches are good as well. Comfortable old building. Music on the weekends (French, swamp pop, etc.)
