Lived in Belgium for 3 years, traveled to Ireland / UK / Scotland area quite a few times. This place felt like stepping into a pub in downtown Glasgow. Loved it. AND they had some of my favorite Belgian beers that have been damn near impossible to find! Definitely will be back!Food: 4/5

MacFarlane's is one of my favorite outdoor eating spots. Plenty of parking, sort of near the lake, food is delicious, beer is always cold, wait staff is friendly, food is always served hot!Food: 5/5

Calm laid back environment on a Tuesday night. Had the Kinsale Steak. They put a terrific spin on it by adding crawfish and shrimp. The colcannon isn't too bad either. Cabbage, not Kale. Ordered my steak medium rare, came out looking good, tasted great. The coleslaw is also very good. Definitely something to try if you're tired of traditional slaw. The scotch eggs are also quite good as an appetizer. I'm sure I'll be back. I Definitely recommend this place.

Great place to get a feel for the locals. Great selection of drinks and beer, food was nice. Patio setting is pleasant on days where the humidity wont kill you.

Not Worth the Price. I went to MacFarlane's Celtic Pub in Lake Charles for lunch with some co-workers. This was my first visit, and a co-worker recommended the Fish & Chips. I ordered this for $19.99. The menu describes the Fish & Chips as follows: "Two slabs of wild caught pacific cod dipped in founders' beer batter and fried until crisp. Set atop a bed of fresh fried seasoned chips. Served with grilled lemon, homemade remoulade and your choice of a side". After about a 15-minute wait, the food arrives. The plate had 2 small pieces of fish on top of a bed of chips. They definitely weren't two slabs as described on the menu. If i would have been dining alone, I would have sent it back and ordered something else with bigger portion sizes. However, the fish was hot and fried to a golden brown and tasted very good. If you are hungry, do not order the Fish & Chips. They are not worth $19.99.

Great food, great atmosphere. I'm guessing it is traditional Scottish food, as I've not heard of some of the names, but everything I've tried has been excellent.

We went with a group of 30 people and the experience was amazing! The food was amazing and the drink selection was really good. We were very impressed with our server. she was friendly, professional, and he knowledge of the different whiskey was a big help.

I gotta say I was impressed with beverage selection. We had a great time u til they brought out the fish n "chips" that we ordered. If you are of European descent and/or Go to an Irish pub, you expect "chips" To be "fries." What we got was fish and potato chips or Some Kind of friend tortilla chip. Ughhhhhh! No. No. No.

Environment: spot on. Love the decor, love the signs and funny sayings. Service: Fast, Friendly, and informative. Our waitress made great recommendations and didn't let our beverages get low. Food was excellent. Can't wait to go back.

Great job and unique atmosphere. We were surprised to see the staff in kilts! Staff was attentive and our food was delicious. Crab cake entree was enough to feed a village. Fried pickles and fries jalapeño were tasty, scotch eggs were different, more like fried devil eggs.

This place was AMAZING!! The atmosphere was awesome, the food was phenomenal and our waiter Roland was THE BEST!! He had a great attitude, very helpful and one of the best servers we've had (we travel ALOT). This will DEF be our go to spot for future adventures rather we stay local or passing through. I was extremely impressed!!!!

I have lost count of how many times I have enjoyed this pub. Haven’t been back in a couple years, yet had the opportunity to eat and be merry once again.I have gotten to know Roland and he is a top notch Manager with a great personality. Our server who was under his wing did a great job in taking care of us. Customer service is top notch. The food is still awesome and I look forward to eating here once again very soon in the near future. They accommodate groups and parties and I would recommend them to anyone who is hungry and thirsty.
