Must of out food came out sub par. We ended up sending two of the four steaks from our table. By time they came back almost everyone else was finished eating. This was supposed to be a special day that the meal almost ruined it for us.

The food was good. I enjoyed the ribeye, it was cooked just right with great flavor?. Our server was wonderful, thanks Tony!

Saltgrass in Metairie opened at 11 am. I purchased a meal (NY Strip, macaroni and salad) for myself and 3 soups. My mother is currently in the hospital and she absolutely adores the potato soup with Saltgrass. I consumed my NY strip and macaroni earlier in the day and decided to save my Caesar salad as a evening snack. Upon taking several bites of my salad, towards the end, I noticed there was a baby roach in the lettuce. I immediately stopped eating and contacted Saltgrass 3x. I spoke with a manager, Derrick. After explaining said situation, he placed me on hold and upon coming back to the line stated he checked the lettuce and there were no bugs. He then proceeded to offer another salad and appetizer complimentary on tomorrow. Being that I didn’t have a great experience with the previous salad, why would I want another? I was a manager at a hotel where I managed food and beverage. The resolution offered and wording was unacceptable. Anyone who decides to eat here, please check your food thoroughly!

The service was wonderful. Beginning at the front of of the house to our table service. It was actually more professional and enjoyable than an older proclaimed steak house in Metarie we visited last week. Husband was excited and satisfied with the country fried steak with beef. It was huge and tasty. I had the the 10oz rib eye. It's a small cut of meat but was cooked perfectly (medium rare) and the seasoning was excellent for my taste.

While the bartender was very nice and provided good service, I cannot say the same for the rest of the staff. The kitchen was awful and ruined my food multiple times. First no toppings, then ice cold toppings, then claimed to bring me a brand new meal only to have thrown the same steak back on the grill and turned into a hockey puck.Other staff were just downright rude as well.First and last time here. Will never return.

dangie better service customer service sucks they also need to be aware of seating people to make sure that the customers are not left at the table for too long before they can even get my drink for order there

My Husband & I went for Valentine’s Day for the first time @ this location & we loved it. This last time we went we didn’t care for it too much. We were waiting to be seated the couple that was checking in behind us threw a fit about us being seated ahead of them. They didn’t know we had a reservation. Our server barely came to check on us until it was time for us to receive our check. She basically stuck around @ an empty table until we paid she saw my husband put $100 bill in the holder walked away came back 5mins later & asked you need change? We took it as her saying she wanted a $20 tip for $5 worth of service!!! We said yes that we needed change & she didn’t look too happy. We don’t mind tipping that amount if the service is Great. But for the type of service we received we tipped $10. Overall we just wasn’t happy with the incident that occurred before we were seated & with our server.

We went for a family birthday dinner and our server Jacob was outstanding. Our food was delivered in stages so that everything wasn’t sitting on the table at the same time getting cold. He also set us up with carafes of tea and water so we could help ourselves.

If you are tired of the chaos and noise at L******N Steakhouse or the eyepopping prices at R***h C***s or F*****gs, you need to give Saltgrass a try. After not dining at this chain restaurant for several years, on the spur of the moment we decided to give it a try. What we found was a sparkling clean facility, friendly, attentive service and really good food at reasonable prices. The general manager was very visible, interacting with guests and wait staff and setting the tone for what turned out to be one of the best meals we have enjoyed at any New Orleans restaurant. While it has a wide menu of steaks and seafood, I'm going to recommend their double bone in pork chop. It was the best pork chop I have had in years: tender, flavorful and a great value. I ordered a baked potato and salad as side dishes which turned out to be generously portioned and well prepared. We have added Saltgrass to our list of go-to restaurants. Try it and you will see why.

Wife ordered the chicken fried plate, twice the chicken plate came raw, undercooked. I ordered the chicken fried steak because when I order the Riley I have to send it back for overlooking. But the fried steak was tough as nails, so I changed to what my wife had and that one was raw and more undercooked as hers.

Sat at table #30 which is by the register’s where waiters & waitresses just hung out talking & every other word cussing (unfortunately their normal talking). Complaining about working etc.
