Top notch crawfish étouffée! Rich crawfish-favored, and so far the most crawfish meat-loaded étouffée ever seen. As I was a kid grown up from a harbor area, guarantee this seafood place is fresh and delicious.Reading other review recommendations, we therefore ordered some oysters as well. Super cleaned and fresh, no regrets!

Located in the neoclassical St. Roch Market, Elysian Seafood offered a menu of classic (and some creative) New Orleans dishes with an emphasis on local seafood. I was a little disappointed with this place. We love St. Roch Market and have always had good food here in the past. We both tried the crab cake sandwich. It came with a nice sauce on brioche bun - very good. The crab cake itself was very bready and didn't seem like it had very much crab at all, definitely no lumps of crab. For the price, I expected more.
