We got king cake and an amazing almond croissant. Very nice people too! But, open time is incorrect on Google. They didn't open on Friday until 9.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Haydel’s Bake Shop on Magazine St in New Orleans, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. The King Cakes, a New Orleans staple, were nothing short of phenomenal. The perfect blend of flavors and the richness of the cake made it a true delight. What surprised me even more was the coffee. In a city renowned for its coffee culture with places like Cafe du Monde and Cafe Beignet, Haydel’s managed to outshine them. The coffee was robust and flavorful, complementing the sweetness of the King Cake impeccably.Service at Haydel’s was another highlight. The staff was not only friendly but also went above and beyond to make the visit enjoyable. Their knowledge of the menu and willingness to assist made the overall experience memorable. If you're in New Orleans and craving an outstanding King Cake paired with exceptional coffee, Haydel’s Bake Shop on Magazine St is a must-visit. It has undoubtedly secured its place as a top contender in the city's vibrant culinary scene.

THE place to get King Cake. We got the traditional. They had other baked goods that looked so good! Service was great. The owner had a great sense of humor when she gave my daughter a hard time for grabbing a fork and knife for her king cake. Ambience was delightful. Great bake shop.

I enjoyed my visit to Haydel's, which had wonderful cold brew and a delightful staff who were quick to recommend top sellers, tell us the history of the company, and ask us our favorite parts of New Orleans. We sampled 5-6 different items and by far my favorite was the petit fours. Every flavor we had was phenomenal, from the seasonal pumpkin to the classic white cake. I ordered a mini lemon meringue tart/pie but found it to be a bit too sweet. There are a few outdoor tables on the sidewalk if you'd like to people watch while enjoying your treats!

Came accross this place by coincidence, because I was visiting a friend in his business on Magazine St.Glad I found it. Loved it! Very inviting as soon as you open the door. Friendly, helpful personnel. So many baked good that all looked delicious. Made it hard to choose. I went with the Cajunnoli and the eclairs. Omg, SO good. These 2 items alone would justify another trip there (I'm about an hour and a half away). I will definitely come back and get the same items again and try some new ones.
Picked up a few goodies before leaving town. The King cake Ooey Gooey bar was sooo good.

Let me tell you about Haydel’s. Go! The turtle’s melt in your mouth and the alligator cake is more than a bite. The cake has trite layering and the icing is sooooooooo good. It melts in your mouth and has a nice dense feeling in your mouth. I will definitely make this my stop when I want some sweets. Thank you Haydel.

Very good service! Took time to help us choose desserts and explained what they were. Delicious eclair filled with chocolate crème and the red velvet squares are delicious!

Very friendly staff! We were from out of town and wanted to try this place out. We got a few different things. The chocolate crossiant was sooo good, you have to try it! The lady that helped us also gave us great recommendations on spots the locals eat at, not just the tourists places which we love. You have to come and try it for yourself!
