Our second time staying here. We love the upgraded rooms. Very clean and up to date. The check in was short and easy. We would recommend this place to family and friends!

Will never stay at a Holiday Inn hotel ever again because of this one. I called two months in advanced before I made my reservation, they are impossible to get ahold of but when the front desk finally picked up I asked if the pool would be open during my stay and gave them the dates, he said yes. Then a few days before my trip I get an email saying pool will be closed because of renovations and when I tried calling the hotel to confirm they did not answer and would hang up, been trying to call for over an hour. Only booked this place because of the pool. Do not book here.

My family and i booked a double room with two queen beds months before we came to NOLA and as soon as we arrived, after a 9 hour drive in, we were greeted with an attitude by Malicia saying “you get one king” and the only explanation was that they “over booked”. She did not apologize or have anything else to say. They offered a roll away bed and when we asked if it would be in the room when we got up there during the SAME CONTINUOUS conversation without looking up from the computer she rudely asked “who are you??” … while we had been speaking for the last 5-10 minutes. So the 4 of us were stuffed into a room with one bed and one twin sized roll away. Every person in the lobby was discussing how rude and unhelpful Malicia was. We understand busy nights and a high influx of check ins but the least you can do while giving someone poor news is apologize. We paid $800 for three INCREDIBLY uncomfortable nights squished into one bed and one tiny twin sized cot basically. Then we were only given two full sized towels so we had to go back down to the office where Velma was very patient and kind and offered as much assistance as possible. There are SEVERAL hotels within walking distance i would highly suggest over this one. Dont waste money or time here if you expect to get AT LEAST what you paid for.

Cons:Rooms were fairly small.A/C units were loud.Surprise "administrative fee" of $8.13 per night for parking, and that's on top of the $40 per vehicle per night. This fee wasn't listed on the final bills at checkout. We had to call the hotel, after noticing the charges on the credit card, to find out.Issues:One of rooms we stayed in did not have working phones. We notified the front desk but they didn't get fixed during our multi-day stay. The other room was missing the mirror (outside the bathroom). We asked the front desk about it but they didn't have anything for us to use temporary. Near the end of our stay we noticed water seeping out along the toilet base. We didn't notify the front desk about this since it wasn't likely to get fixed then.We had 2 paid parking passes for our 2 vehicles. Not sure how the QR codes were generated but the second vehicle was denied exit multiple times during our stay, and each time we had to go to the front desk to get things cleared up while blocking other vehicles behind us from exiting.Pros:The staff we encountered with were pleasant.Good location.Outdoor heated swimming pool.

Unfortunately, my room was terrible and disappointing.I stayed in the Holiday in Many times but the Room I got was really upsetting. My room was small and on the 9th floor, so It was right next to the pool which was weird and My Balcony was locked so I couldn't enjoy the downtown view. And I booked my room in month in advance for good price and hoping that I will get a great room.Unfortunately I did not, and it kind of ruined my New Orleans Experience.Next Time I'll go to New Orleans I will just stay in a different Hotel for a different and hopefully better Experience.

OK, for starters, this place is easy to find. THE Location is PRIME. Front desk attendants were helpful and security was on site. Use your keys to get up and down the elevators. The room was ok. Aside from a balcony we couldn't access, everything else was nice. My only complaint was the lack of soap in the bathroom Dove dispensers, they're pointless if they're EMPTY AND taking up space. Coffee and Keurig machine in room, a few cups sweetener and dry cream. Ice bucket for down the hall. A standard microwave and mini fridge as well. Cups for water if you need it. A vending machine for sodas and bottled water. The gym was well stocked one machine was down, but no big deal. BREAKFAST IS NOT FREE. This particular location comes equipped with a restaurant and bar, so DO NOT EXPECT A QUICK BREAKFAST. YOU SIT AND ENJOY OR ORDER TO GO!!! It was a great visit. We plan to go back when there are no crazy holidays though because the drivers are crazy. Spring break success.Nearby activities: Plenty of restaurants up and down the streetWalkability: Easy access to sidewalks, busses and uber when necessary. Especially in the day.Food & drinks: A bar located inside of this hotel, so no need to stumble out of a bar to your room, just keep your room key handy or you'll be stuck sobering up near the lobby or elevators.

I loved the front desk staff, the security guards and Amy the bartender. I did not like how a problem was handled when I asked for my bedding to be changed and woke two hours later with blisters and hives on my face and a rash all over my body at 2 a.m. The desk staff couldn't find clean bedding and brought me two flat queen sheets, a queen pillowcase and comforter then had to leave back to the desk. I had to strip my king bed and toss these items on top. No one checked on me to make sure I was okay after having an allergic reaction. No report was taken. I fell back to sleep finally at 4 with my do not disturb sign on the door. At 8 a.m. maintenance knocked and tried to come in my room saying I called for maintenance. Then they proceeded to tear all the safes out of every room and a crew came up to remove them. I was told no one was supposed to be on this floor since they are renovating it. I could not go back to sleep so I went to use the bathroom and take a shower when housekeeping knocked and tried to come in. The night manager told me that he would put a note to have them change my bedding after I left and to take the do not disturb sign off of my door when I left. I talked to the day manager and complained. He said he would have the main manager talk to me. A day later she did and made excuses and challenged me. She said she would review the security cameras to confirm and would get back to me by the next day. Three days later and checking at the desk multiple times per day, she never responded to me or left a message. I flew home with no resolution. Then housekeeping threw receipts out that I had on the desk. I had to pay full price for this nightmare. I called and called the number on the card. The number does not work. Emailed twice. No one responded. Called IHG/Holiday Inn Headquarters who opened up a claim and asked the hotel to contact me. They didn't. I called again. They said they couldn't help me since the hotels are independent. I left a bad review on Trip Advisor so their review team contacted me by email and contacted the hotel twice to call me, including upper management. They didn't. I am going to leave bad reviews, contact BBB and dispute with my credit card company. Pathetic. You should be ashamed. They also lied to HQ and said they offered me a free night. Totally untrue. Manager listened to my story, said she would pull surveillance video and review and get back to me with a resolution but never did. Liars on top of thieves.

Location was perfect for going out to eat and where my conference was located. That was truly the best part of the hotel. Front desk staff was friendly (stayed from 25th to 1st), however miscommunication and constant billing issues made my check-in and out stressful, leaving me to call corporate multiple times to resolve the same issue.Cleanliness- housekeeping was prompt but a deep clean of the hotel’s sheets and towels is needed. I watched the same stained sheets get put back in place for my entire stay. Had to request a refill of body wash and hand soap my first night as well- which was done quite quickly, so kudos to that.Restaurant downstairs is quite good and the bartenders make strong drinks!Walkability: Very walkable to nearby activities without being right on Bourbon with the noise and craziness
