This is my go to hotel whenever I'm in New Orleans! I love it's proximity to all the high tourist areas. The staff is always friendly and eager to assist as needed.

It's hard to give this Marriott more than 3 stars. All extras and perks are reserved for platinum and higher rewards members. As a reward member with this chain spending thousands, you would think I could get a late checkout since my scheduled flight was delayed, or possibly eat in their restaurant. But neither are available to any "low level" member or guest. BTW I spent over 4k on Marriott hotels since September. The hotel is clean, the rooms nice and the higher level rooms have an amazing view.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE! We were here for a birthday stay and here's why you need to book elsewhere: THEY CHARGE FOR WIFI!!! $13/day but they don't tell you that. Second, the room keys are not workable. We've been here 2 days, had the door lock changed once and room keyed changed multiple times and still have issues getting into the room. Lastly, they overcharge!!! If you book through a third party you're given one quote. However once you check in - surprise! - it's a quote that's a couple hundred more. DO NOT STAY HERE! We've come to NOLA every two years and this hotel has been the most impersonal and terrible experience.

I stayed at this hotel for a work conference and my room was on the 32nd floor facing the city/river and it was a nice view! The room was your standard double queen beds with a tight fitting bathroom. There wasn't an air vent in the bathroom so it made for stuffy showers. Being in the room while sleeping was fine as there wasn't much noise but I did have a white noise machine so that could've helped. Elevators worked properly, housekeeping was efficient, and checking in/out was easy. Overall, this was a good clean spot to stay during my time in New Orleans.

Recently stayed here for work. Gorgeous views from the river side! The room was clean, the bed comfortable and housekeeping was excellent. They have a restaurant, bar and pantry (store) on the first floor. They are also convenient to the French Quarter. The rooms are somewhat close together but I was surprised that we were never bothered by any neighbors. The elevators can be a bit slow, especially if there's a conference in the hotel. The conference rooms were never freezing and accommodating. The only issues I had besides the elevators was that our carpet wasn't in the best shape. There was a large stain in our room. There are also very few places to hang towels. The hook on the door was worthless, the towels kept falling off and the rack in the shower had the shampoo and conditioner mounted under it. I would happily come back!

A great Marriott. Very busy. Nice rooftop pool. Very central, right outside Street cars / trams / trolleys. Comfy rooms, beds. The usual Marriott standard! Speedy (expensive) Valet parking. Nice views from higher floors. Glad to see a lobby market place for snacks.

Stayed here for a nursing conference. Most of the staff were helpful and friendly. Unfortunately I checked in late and didn't immediately download the app. Two days later when I wanted to order room service I was told that it was too late. That was frustrating and unfortunate because I felt unwell that afternoon and really didn't want to have to leave my room for food. The Pantry in the back lobby is terrific with a huge selection of temptations! You HAVE to order their beignets! We even took a few extra with us on the airplane and when we inevitably had a flight delay in Dallas/Fort Worth we gave the agent one of our bags and she treated us EXTRA sweet...so my suggestion is to always travel with beignets just in case! The front lobby lounge had just okay food and for NOLA the drinks were incredibly weak. Hotel rooms were clean, but slightly worn and room chairs looked stained and old.

I came for a conference and upon entry to the room I found a dusty room, crumbs on the desk and a rusty shower rod and curtain. Later than night I found out the sheets weren't changed from the previous guest and that the shower drain was plugged. Called front desk and they sent new sheets up for me (30 mins later) but they couldn't change them cause they didn't have housekeepers available. The next day, I went to the soda machine and got a bottle of soda. It came out about 85° and expired 4 months ago. I took it to the front desk and told them and they didn't even apologize or offer to get me a new one. Just an "Okay, thanks for letting us know". Also, the fire alarm went off twice while we were there. Well below the standard I have come to expect at a Marriott hotel.

Booked 2 rooms for 4 nites, 2 people each room. I was told my lifetime titanium status only allowed me and 1 guest into the M-club lounge. Basically, my kids would not get access or breakfast. I complained to front desk, manager would not even come and speak to me, had staff member give me 2 brkfst vouchers(no m-club access so they went in a separate entrance) for kids but stated it would be 30$ daily going forward per child. This was NOT the case during my May 2023 visit. Ultimately, i paid for my kids to eat and I'm going to dispute the charges on my Chase Marriott black card as I should not have been charged. This is garbage, New Orleans Marriott, lifetime titanium elite, I spend thousands yearly, business and personal, yet my party of 4 with 2 rooms are only allowed to have 2 members in the M-club lounge, amazing, I shouldn't feed my kids. Very dissatisfied, this is crap, yeah some Marriott j*** will say, "we will give you 10k points", sorry the problem is BIGGER than that. Total disregard for my status and spend, so I will post my review on all social media sites, let's see if they contact me. I also asked for 2 m-club keys, NOPE, so my wife and I had to go downstairs together with only one key. Horrible experience, what a joke Marriott!!!! You need to do better, maybe the JW Marriott will treat me better.

I stayed at the New Orleans Marriott for a conference. I found the facility was centrally located in the heart of downtown, and a quick walk from the French quarter. The property offers a convenience store, Starbucks, restaurant, bar, pool, and parking.

We booked this location through a 3rd party. Price was very good and location excellent for our exploration. We arrived early. We were lucky enough to be given a room at 11am. A GIFT! Room was a corner location which was a bonus as it had both a river and city view with 2 walls of windows. Not for those with height phobias. We LOVED it! Bathroom is a little small but certainly not a deal breaker. Room was clean, beds comfortable and absolutely no complaints. We had an amazing experience with the front desk. Such a fabulous experience that we booked this location again for 2 nights next week after a cruise. Customer service was exceptional!

Not what we expect from a superior hotel. Towels like sandpaper. No robes. High tub to climb over to shower. No way to see bill on tv monitor for auto checkout. Two nights were during a big music festival. The lobby was wall-to-wall people, most dancing to very loud music. Our room was on the 14th floor yet we heard music until 2 am.

I had a great view from my room on the 39th floor. The room was large, but the bath was very small and cramped. There was no clock when I arrived and it took two trips to the front desk (over 2 days) to remedy that situation. The USB ports on the left side of the bed were useless- one was physically broken and the other had no power. There was a nice mini-fridge, but no microwave oven. The M Club offered very good breakfast options, and OK dinner options.

The room is nice. The elevators left some frustrated during the busy time of evening. I reported not once but twice that my tub wasn’t draining adequately. If you ever been near bourbon street in Sandler your feet get dirty. I come back to take a shower and again tonight the shower is holding water. Thank goodness the toilet is close so I can sit down and wash my feet off. I expect better when I stay and pay this much.

I recently stayed here for a conference in NOLA and strongly advise travelers to AVOID staying at this hotel. It is unbelievably dated. The rooms are absolutely tiny. And the service is subpar. After getting to my room after checking in, I was in shock at just how awful the Marriott New Orleans is. The room was slightly larger than my college dorm room was. Everything (dresser, TV stand, etc.) was unbelievably low to the ground and the bathroom was a total joke; the counter was at knee-level (I’m 6’1”) and there was no walk-in shower (only an old tub with an unimpressive shower head). The ceilings were stained, dirty, and popcorn textured. When I asked the front desk personnel if I was in a handicap-capable room, I was told no and that, “all the rooms are the same.” The TV stand and dresser and conjoined and were moved about 2 feet from the wall, giving even less space. I requested maintenance move the unit to the wall and was told they would; needless to say, they never did. I am an Elite Bon Voy member and would NEVER stay at this hotel again. How it earns 4-stars is unbelievably perplexing. I’d believe that if it were 1980. But by modern standards, this hotel should earn about 2-stars.
