720 Orleans St, New Orleans
Total hidden gem! The food was delicious. The ambiance was calm and tranquil. Far from the Burbon st noise and rowdy vibe. Very classy joint and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quality food experience in New Orleans.
The server named Michael was so helpful. The baked oysters are amazing and the banana bread was delicious. The money is worth the amazing food. Great handgrade martinis in a lit up cup!
I don't know how living in this city I haven't been here yet?! This is a true hidden gem just steps away from the hustle and bustle of the tourists traps. If you are visiting the quarter and are looking for "non tourist trap" spots come here! Our waiter, Rhett, was very sweet and attentive. He was able to help us with a wine selection and was informative. This place gives a fine dining feel without having to be stuffy. The prices are a little high but I truly believe you are getting what you paid for! The portions were huge. I had the duck salad with slices of duck cooked perfectly. My husband had the rack of lamb which was big enough for us to split and feel satisfied. Surprisingly, my favorite dish was the typical shrimp and grits. However, these weren't so typical. They had more of a red, cream sauce which I found delicious. Again, huge portion which my cousin couldn't finish and was shared around the table. Plan a trip here if you are visiting or a local!
This is right opposite our hotel and was a fantastic find. Excellent service from Rhett and scrummy food and wine. Heading back there tonight.
We went here only because of the nice terrace. Everything else was awful. The waitress was rude. We told we want vegetarian dishes. And then she comes up with the Mussles and bacon on the top The rice was sticky. Fish was oversalted. Not recommend!
This was recommended by a local. We ate in the courtyard which is lovely, tropical, and quiet. Our waitress was very friendly, attentive and helpful. They offered wine flights which was very nice. Our food was good.
Fabulous food! We had the pork chops and Fish Amandine and they were both amazing. Staff were really friendly and fun.
Oh my goodness me. What a great accidental find. We spent a good chunk of the day walking around the city and didn't even realize we had skipped lunch. It was right around 3 by the time we realized how hungry we were. This was the closest spot to us so we decided why not. We didn't even look at the menu. Somehow I had a feeling we weren't going to regret our choice. There was no wait. We were seated towards the back, next to the small pond. My view wasn't too bad. There were some kois in there. As we were all starving, we decided to eat family style. Our orders were: 1/2 dozen Oysters - Who knew adding bacon to oysters would make such a big difference. Two thumbs up Baked brie - holy meatballs. I don't have the words. Warm Goat Cheese Salad - amazing. I could eat this everyday for the rest of my life Shrimp Remoulade - our least favorite in the mix Pan Seared Scallops - perfection New Orleans Barbeque Shrimp - collectively everyones favorite. I wanted to ask for more bread because that sauce was perfect for dipping. Bread pudding - wow Goat cheese cheesecake - I only manage to have a couple bites because I was so full We all couldn't stop saying how this was by far our best meal even though it was only day 2. LOL From all the food to the service - it was the best of times.
LOVE! We come here all the time for their happy hour at 4PM-6PM and after 10PM. They have the most incredible cheese boards and wine specials! They also give you free bacon during happy hour!!! My favorite salad is the Baby Spinach.
I have walked by dozens of time over 5 yrs and paid no attention- but I am so glad we stopped in! It was recommended by a friend- we sat at the bar and had a great time- the wine list is amazing. The bartender was friendly and gave us just enough space for date night. We ordered the cheese board and it was okay- the cheese could have been more at room temp, however the chocolate cheddar was superb. Don't keep walking by- go inside. It's worth the time.
We visit each time we come to NOLA. If you are looking for excellent NOLA cusine off Burbon St. without the tourist trap
Excellent food and service. A must try while visiting new Orleans. The rack of lamb was amazing. Not to be missed
All of us were happy with our dining experience. Door and service was good.
This cute place offers bacon during happy hour! Wine flights were $15, a good value. We had a cheese tray, which was very good, and then when the kitchen opened split a dinner of grilled tuna with ginger rice and cucumber salad. Solid all-around.
Lovely wine bar with a nice selection of wines. Limited food menu during the day. The bacon happy hour is great!
