Food is great. Husband got the mufaleta and I had the roast beef poboy daily special. Love sitting in the side courtyard for lunch and then coming back in the evening for drinks by the fountain in the main courtyard.

The only place on Bourbon Street that I was not allowed to bring a drink in. Our large group would have ordered drinks inside but moved on the the next bar that allowed walk in drinks.

the infamous hurricane is very syrupy
it's basically a sour rum punch with extra sugar
the bloody Mary wings were breaded and over cooked the sauce tasted like Raghu with celery salt and some pepper

The Hurricanes were the best ever! But, I would highly suggest only having one! LOL My husband loved the Jambalaya and my Po'boy was awesome. I recommend the courtyard for any travelers wanting to relax, visit, enjoy good food, and fun times. My favorite place to eat while in NO. I hope it is as good next week as it was last time!

Staffing has gone down in the past few years, especially the host/hostess. They never act like you're even there. Just going through the motions.

I stopped by Pat O’Brien’s Courtyard Restaurant for lunch yesterday and ordered the Pat’s O Trio, which came with gumbo, jambalaya, and red beans. I really liked the flavor of everything—comforting, well-seasoned, and true to the New Orleans style I was hoping for. The only thing I wish they’d done differently? A little hint or label about what was what on the plate! I found myself playing a mini guessing game with the dishes, which was fun… but also slightly confusing if you’re not a local.

The atmosphere was great—classic courtyard charm with a relaxed midday vibe. It didn’t feel too crowded or touristy while I was there, and the staff was polite and helpful, though not overly chatty.

If you’re visiting New Orleans and want a solid intro to some classic local dishes in a historic setting, I’d definitely recommend it. Just maybe ask your server to help you ID your food before you dig in!

We went here on 6-12-25 and had Quinn as our waiter. GREAT service, great food and he made us feel right at home. We went back on 6-13-25 hoping he’d be working and he was. We had two incredible experiences two days in a row. If you’re in the Quarter, go here and ask for Quinn!!!
