Walked in and immediately created with a warm smile. Service was excellent. The menu gets straight to the point. I ordered the shrimp omelette, home fries, and a biscuit. Well what I expected (small Waffle house type meal). I got a shrimp omelette fit for a King, well seasoned home fries, and a lumberjack biscuit. The shrimp omelette was well seasoned with no shortage of shrimp. Our waitress was very personal and friendly. Other than the food.......the chefs came out and had a down home conversation with us and other guest. All the employees made me text 3 friends to come. You've got to make Polly's your weekend breakfast spot.

AWESOME food and FANTASTIC PERSONAL service!! This place is an opportunity for locals to get to know what New Orleans is still about! I had "Polly's Breakfast" and I ate to my heart's content and STILL HAD PLENTY LEFT! GREAT JOB EVERYONE!

The guy who works there is charming enough and it is close enough to my house to be o.k. on a slow day. On a busy day, it's a nightmare. I set aside 1.5 hours for a quick breakfast before a scheduled event. The place was about half full and there was only one waitress who in the best of times makes one wonder why she doesn't seek another sort of employment because she is not in her milieu: unfriendly, tending to be superior in attitude, unable to write down an order correctly; she would do better as CEO or President of something. 2 hours later, tables around us that had arrived after we did had turned twice and we still didn't even have water. I had been asking about our order every twenty minutes or so and the server just got defensive. Finally, after we had completely missed our event waiting for a very simple breakfast, I went and complained to a third person. The server admitted that she had put our order into the computer and forgotten to send it to the kitchen. After an inexcusable 3 hour wait, we finally ate. My friend had ordered one more thing which the server seemed disinclined to bring. I asked the manager if we could just have it to go. After another hour, we still didn't have it. The server was told to give us half off the order. She only took 46.3% off of the thing we never got, for reasons best known to her. I had to repeatedly insist that she start all over, not include the thing we never got, and charge us the agreed-upon amount, since we had, by then, missed 2 events. She had the nerve to say that it wasn't that big a difference. I'm afraid I had to take that difference off of my customary, 20% rounded up to the nearest dollar, tip and do the math for her on the charge slip. I had, in the past brought guests there frequently enough that most New Orleans restaurant managers would know my name. Never again.

The food was way better than I could have ever expected! My mouth is watering just thinking about it again. Felt like a shame to come to the South and not get biscuits and gravy, and they did not disappoint. Best I've ever had at a restaurant. The eggs florentine that my boyfriend got were also insane. I was jealous I didn't get them as well, but you can't eat the whole menu in one visit. Bottomless mimosas were $12 (maybe $14?) worth it if you keep drinking them though. Bloody mary was more my speed and was absolutely delicious. I'm giving it five stars because the food and drinks were amazing and service was great even though I'm almost positive there was only one waitress and she was super sweet. Might have to visit again if we come back to New Orleans!

Restaurant was not even half full. Was seated and told they didn't have enough menus. Sat for 10 min then given a menu. Server disappeared for 20 more minutes. We got up and left.

I really wanted to love this place, it sounded really good but it was very disappointing. Perhaps it was because we cane the day after Mardi Gras, but everything was wrong. It was like a real life episode of Kitchen Nightmares. We waited for fifteen minutes for menus and then found out their coffee machine was broken and wouldn't even make tea. Then we waited forty minutes before they brought us our orange juice, which was rotten. We waited another twenty minutes before they brought out food, which was not what we ordered and was cold. We waited another half an hour and finally got our food which was thankfully hot, but not quite what we ordered. At this point, we didn't say anything because we were so hungry. The serving of hash was quite small. The steak omelette was huge, but was not strips of sirloin, instead it was like roast beef lunch meat. The potatoes were tasty but literally swimming in grease. Oh and the ketchup on our table was also rotten. To top it off, the kitchen staff started screaming at the waitress at one point, which was basically in front of the whole restaurant because of the layout. They were severely understaffed and unprepared for a full brunch crowd.

Very homie little restaurant in the bywater neighborhood. Very friendly staff and quick service. The food is very satisfying and fresh. It's easy to find and has a very distinctive sign. The art in the restaurant is quirky and fun. Very comfortable seating and spacious area. It's on the main road so it's easy to find. I had the lasagna and it was delicious. The salad is not wimpy like a other restaurants that have a simple menu. It was fresh and the dressing was tasty.

This place is roomy and the staff was nice but my food was under cooked so I didn’t enjoy that.

I am in from FL visiting my family, four generations of us going to lunch, and the man working there had an attitude from the minute we walked in. There were nine of us including my 93 year old grandmother, and he acted as if we were inconveniencing him. He wouldn't let us sit together even though the place was almost empty. I explained NICELY that we just wanted a place we could all visit during lunch and he had the nerve to tell me I had an attitude. That's FOUR generations of New Orleanians he just ran off from the restaurant. We know a lot of people and I guarantee nobody will be going there. Good luck.

Superb food and service. We accidentally ordered a dish with meat (we can’t eat meat for health reasons) and the staff was very kind about our mistake and helped make it right for us. I appreciated the kind server who helped us, as well as the man running food from the kitchen who wanted to make sure our meal was just right. The food was delicious and I will definitely go back.
