Roux on Orleans is inside the Bourbon Orleans hotel. As of my visit in November, they were only doing breakfast but it was a fun menu. You could have something distinctly New Orleans, like shrimp and grits, or something 100% breakfast, like eggs and bacon. This side of bacon was worth everything - it was amazingly crispy with a low amount of grease. I would have taken a to go box as a snack. The local grilled bread was interesting because it was more of a French or Italian bread with garlic on top. The side of local pastries were also very good but you need to like lemon. The best part were the waitresses - they are a well oiled machine, and on top of that kind and accommodating.

Right now Roux is only open for breakfast. I was able to eat there twice and loved everything I ordered. The quantity of food was sometimes overwhelming and always delicious. The staff, including the chef, was gracious, welcoming, and professional.

We had breakfast here while we stayed at the hotel Nov 15-18. They are open but just for breakfast. The servers were very friendly and the food was very good. Between us we tried most of the menu but really enjoyed the shrimp and grits. We felt like it was a little expensive, but good and convenient. Would definitely recommend if you are in the neighborhood.

Perfect location, convenient valet parking, super helpful/kind staff, and had recently been refreshed with new flooring and paint. We had room 644 (which we later found out was the “haunted room”) and I must say, it had a vibe about it. Kind of wish reception would have let us know about our room being the “nuns room”, but I was purposely trying to avoid the spooky stuff anyway. Oh well, now we have a story to tell. I would stay here again and recommend it to others, no question.

You're right in the middle of everything, You can party on Bourbon street or you can relax in Jackson square park. Nice comfortable room good service the staff is friendly and charming, I'll definitely stay here again.
Each day we tried something different and everything on the menu was AMAZING. Miss Pam was the best and always had a smile for us!! Now that we are home, we definitely miss this amazing NOLA Cuisine.
