Oh wow!!!! This place is a hidden gem. It's a small hole in the wall place that's inside of a bar called Micks Irish Pub. This weekends special is a Venezuelan pulled pork sandwich with a twist. The bread is large plantain chips. The pork is marinated in coke with spices. Add red onions, avocado and jalapeño cream sauce and viola! The specials change every weekend so come try this before it sells out. You'll thank me for it!!!!

Giant burgers! Killer dishes of the day. In house made onion rings. Huge house made cheese sticks. Brussel sprouts are spot on. Spicy fried chicken sammich is one of the best (be prepared it’s big and sloppy as it should be!!) packaged perfectly if you are getting it to go or eat out front and enjoy the neighborhood vibe of the Micks crowd. Super friendly.

This place has some first class comfort food. My most recent meal was on a cold day and I opted for a pimento cheese and greens sandwich and some thicc fried cheese sticks. The sandwich was crunchy on the outside and warm and gooey in the middle. Actually the same can be said for the cheese sticks. Both were delicious warmed my soul on a cold day. The only thing that could have made that better maybe a tomato soup added to the menu for dipping. Bonus points this place is nestled in one of my favorite neighborhood bars where you can get a stiff drink to go along with munchies.

You go in through the bar, up the small setstairs to the right, and the restaurant is in the corner of the back room.I had a Blue Cheese burger and Onion Rings, and both were awesome. My wife really liked her Cheese burger, and enjoyed the brussel sprouts.Define you a great place that I will visit again.

I'm obsessed with the brussels sprouts here! I had no idea I even liked brussels sprouts until a friend ordered them and let me try some. Wherever this place moves, I will find them every time I come to New Orleans just to eat those amazing brussels sprouts.

I had trouble choosing what to order and I went with the wangs which were f****** diggity dank...often I post to expose shitty experiences...idk if I'm hungry or boozed up but these wings with mopho sauce were super heady, even if the otter restaurants seem to be long winded and sugar sauced....based on this meal I would grace the other establishments with my well mannered taste buds....

So I loved this place when they operated during Mick's hours, but you need to know that even though Mick's is closed, The Rum & the Lash is still making fantastic griddle burgers (and lots of other things) and serving them through a tiny Bienville window. Order ahead online and pick up your walk-thru order about 20-30 minutes later. Cmon y'all: this food has always been delicious so let's help keep them rolling during tough times. Also, burger and fries made for me tonight were perfect and exactly what I wanted. Mwah.
