One of the security guards walked me back to my hotel. The MC was amazing, very entertaining. I highly recommend this bar. Definitely check it out for good karaoke and an entertaining night.

Let me preface this review by saying that we, being on the older side, initially felt out of place hitting the town. However, we're thrilled we did because our night at Cat's Meow turned out to be an absolute blast. We had an incredible time at Cat's Meow! The atmosphere was electric, with everyone enthusiastically singing along. The DJ and host were fantastic, keeping the party going strong. It was a night filled with fun, laughter, and flowing drinks in a vibrant atmosphere. We wholeheartedly recommend Cat's Meow to everyone and anyone looking for a good time!!!

I don't know how I've been on burboun so many times and never gone to the cats meow. Well, that all changed all my last trip to new orleans. And let me tell you. I was with a group of very loud... three sheets to the wind ...folks. They were not open yet, and my group was already to the point of kneewalkin drunk. The staff was amazing. The karaoke hosts were sweethearts. And of course they have to deal with people like us all the time.... So you might think they would be pretty jaded. Not the case. They opened the doors with smiles. Talked and joked with all of us as we entered. They were happy, up, and fun (and it was early LOL.) We had a wonderful time here. These are wonderful people that run this place. And I thank them for putting up with us!

What a lively atmosphere! Everyone joins in singing along with whoever's on stage, but it gets really crowded, almost uncomfortably so. Dealing with drunk patrons bumping into you can be frustrating, especially when security seems indifferent. They're mainly focused on alcohol checks rather than ensuring a pleasant experience. And don't get me started on the price of beer – $9 a bottle downtown is steep compared to the usual $7 elsewhere. It's tough to even leave a tip with those prices!

Very very nice karaoke experience! They alternate clients singing with their professional performers (which are so good! Not only sing but really entertain the audience).

This place may need to make renovations because my wife blew the roof off with her rendition of Santeria!

Walking down the street and we see a sign that says "Free Karaoke".We added our name to the list and grabbed some seats. We had no idea how long the list was. They alternate between letting an audience member sing and the host sing. It was a good time but we never got to get on stage.Still a fun experience.

We were having a decent time until I went to the bathroom and heard a girl vomiting in the stall next to me. I asked what I could do to help, and she asked for water. When I ran out to ask for a cup of water, I was offered bottled water - at a cost. Frantically, I responded that it wasn’t even for me - I was trying to help somebody (a stranger) sick in the bathroom. They reluctantly gave me a small glass of tap water. They weren’t busy at all - Monday night. No one working there did a thing to help. They barely gave me what I needed to render aid to someone I didn’t even know.A while later, I asked for a glass of water for myself. I was told I could purchase a bottle for $6. I told them tap water would be just fine, and they told me they don’t offer tap water.I tried to talk to the bar manager, but he could’ve cared less. He kept telling me that they don’t (and won’t) serve tap water, unless you buy two alcoholic drinks. He was utterly useless….basically a 30+ year-old on a power trip. They also have a girl running around with uncovered Jell-O shots all night who seems like she’s out of her mind. (It seemed unsanitary to me.)Their only interest is to get people wasted. And when that happens, you’d better hope there’s a patron who will care enough to help you.As far as a karaoke bar, it’s not great either. They don’t deviate much from their “list.”If you love karaoke, you’re not missing anything by avoiding this place. Trust me.
