Popular noodle soup 🍜 restaurant. Much busier than others in the area. Sitting at the bar gives you the opportunity to watch the chefs prepare food. If you don't like soups (perhaps visiting with a friend that does) there're a few side dishes to try. Service was friendly and although there was a big queue it only took about 15 minutes to get a table for two.
If you love udon, you'll love Monzo. See into the kitchen where you can watch them making their great hand made noodles. They have all the classic traditional styles plus some crazy new ones with creamy sauces, cold udon, curry udon, and whatever else you can imagine.
Totally authentic handmade udon. Tons of variety and great prices. Highly recommended!
At Monzo you get some damn amazing food!!! I really am into all things noodle soup, but this was something special! I got the chicken tempura udon and got mixed tempura on the side and everything was so incredibly on point, that I don't even know what to say. You could taste every detail and nothing was just 'filling you up'. Amazing food experience! Take the iced green tea - ist not sweetened and it's the perfect accompaniment for the food they serve! Expect a wait - not extra long but they pretty much have a wait whenever they are open! BUT worth it!
So worth the wait!!! Just gooooo. You will not regret it. Uni pasta was the bomb dot com.

Hello. Please give our thanks to the Manager(s) and others for the wonderful room and bottle of sparkling wine for our Anniversary stay. We had an amazing time. The room was so comfortable, the food at Echo absolutely spectacular (we ate two meals there). Our waitress was just wonderful. Looking forward to staying with you in the future. What a great place!
Very good modern American cuisine. Obvious choice in conjunction with a visit to the Broad Museum next door, but I spontaneously went for dinner after attending a Sunday LA Opera matinee. Service by Jimmy and others was very attentive w/o attitude. Fun to see open kitchen with its under 30 coed culinary staff operating on all cylinders. Restaurant custom built from ground up was a highlight as well. PS: I chose dishes based on my personal likes and not on buzz.
Beautiful space (but loud), staff is friendly but food was disappointing, especially at these prices. Seafood is a strong point but do yourself a favor and avoid the pasta dishes. Salty, overcooked, lacking any flavor - barely edible. Service was attentive but incredibly slow. Took us 2+ hours just to get thru dinner as dishes were slow to arrive (and canceled some as it took forever) and service disappeared when needed. Oh well they can't all be winners.
Came here for dinner with my wife. Good ambiance and decor. Nice open kitchen, you can smell them smoking the meats - very good! Medium portions, between tapas style and single serving. -Beef Shortrib was really good with the "Everything Topping", great flavor and texture -Blue Fun Tuna appetizer was very fresh and flavorful -Spinach Bucatini was also very good -Scallops were perfectly cooked and very good as well Everything we had was great. The only complaint was our waiter, he wasn't very attentive nor was he very apologetic for "accidentally" charging us a salad that we did not order. Gave a lame excuse of moving it off the previous diners at the table and accidentally leaving it on our tab. Doesn't make sense to me seeing how you would just delete it rather than somehow moving it to the next diners while the current diners are at the table. After he changed it there was no apology, he just walked away. Food was good but that one server left me with a bad taste. One employee doesn't reflect the entire business, but it doesn't do it any favors.
Beautiful restaurant with great wine list (so my brother tells me) and very friendly staff (without the feeling they are trying too hard). Food is small plates and none too cheap, but good ingredients even though I wasn't sure I agreed with all the pairings. Probably my fault.

Drove by and decided to give this place a try. The service was super speedy and friendly. The food was so tasty and the restaurant was so beautifully decorated inside. It's a Japanese/Italian fusion I believe, which was so intriguing. Would definitely recommend and return.
Small and cozy spot. Excellent pasta dishes and plenty of food for your money. They also offer a 10 percent discount if you follow them on Instagram or check in on Yelp while you're there.
Good flavors and big portions, but perhaps a bit expensive.

Chef Wes is the best! Everything he creates is original and familiar all at the same time! The bartenders also make my favorite drink in all or LA, the rattlesnake round up! Make sure to call ahead or expect to wait awhile and walk around the arts district.
I understand some places are expensive, this is one of those places. I don't have an issue with that. But when that is the case, I expect the food to be good or some type of a "good value". 7$ for 4 very thin (and black crispy) pieces of bacon that could have been microwave bacon doesn't cover that. A lot of the art direction of the place is nice but both the chandeliers make no sense. Great service, quick seating and quickly cooked food. Overall, the food is ok but not worth the price. Especially some orders.
The food is fresh, inventive, and full of character (influenced by a variety of well-loved cuisines). Everything is prepared from local ingredients, most of which are harvested right around the corner from a public garden. Yes, you can visit the chickens who laid your egg. Fantastic service, delectable cocktails, and a beautiful space in an outdoor arts complex make Manuela one of LA's absolute best brunches.
They have an intimidating menu but the options I went for were delicious. The nuances of both salads complimented by the textures were superb. A bit on the pricy side.
Lovely outdoor restaurant in the middle of the arts district. Food was well done, especially the Crab Louie and Redneck Platter. It would be a great spot for a date, especially during the weekend. You can eat and check out the nearby art galleries.

The service was impeccable! BYOB $10 corkage fee for the first bottle. The food was very good 😊 and the atmosphere and decor were superb. Very affordable too. Extremely fast and tech savvy service. Highly recommend for any occasion. We were a party of 4 and ordered 2 appetizers and 4 entrees and the bill was only $105 🙏🏻🙌🏻.
Can't afford to get to Italy? No worries! Pop over to the Maccheroni Republic for some amazing, handmade, homemade pasta. They even have delicious, gluten free pasta. Listen, I dream of the black and white pasta, but it's all good. AND it's pretty reasonably priced. AND next to a parking garage. Do yourself a favor and head over!
They serve great pastas. Interior and atmosphere is like cozy home kitchen and staffs are friendly. Parking structure is right behind of the restaurant so it is convenient if you could not find a spot on the street. Although the inside is cozy home style the outside seats are also available with warm heaters so it also may be romantic to seat and eat outside in the night. Price is very reasonable, great for casual & special occasion i'd say. Want to come back soon to try other dishes.
Probably the best beef carpaccio and pasta I've ever had! The quality of the food was great and the service was fast and friendly. You can't go wrong here.
Delicious food. Great ambience. Attentive and welcoming staff. And the menu made it very easy for me to locate the vegetarian options.
