Chef Bo was so nice to come out to our table and all I can say is she was a very nice, young & talented person. She even made me a special dessert for my birthday. Thanks Bo❤️ I highly recommend this place if you want an authentic, excellent and delicious food. In addition, the place is so full of life. The decor is amazing! “I'm originally from Barcelona (nearby), and I have to say that Telefèric Barcelona (Los Angeles) made me feel like home. Their rice dish was very close to my parent's. Even the type of rice was unique to the dish. Additionally, the staff was extremely professional and some spoke Catalan, which made me feel even more close to home. Their Bravas and Pa amb tomata were excellent appetizers. Pair your meal with a "Catalan Gin and Tonic" and your experience will be out of this world!The vegan options were very good (vegetable paella/rice).”

“The food is amazing and it's pretty self explanatory "hotbox", the food seems to never get cold. They have a variety of options as well and give big servings, especially their fries. Their cheese fries are super nice melted and gooey just be careful because they are really hot, they literally stayed hot even after I finished my burger. The burgers are also pretty good and stay warm for a good while. If your in the area I recommend you try this place. The only bad part is that there is no dine in, but that's ok because your food will literally still be warm by the time you get home.”
“This place is very close to achieving what it's setting out to do: provide an elegant vegetarian dining experience. I think that might be hard to pull off in a strip mall however. The food and the art are fantastic but the interior design was poorly executed and comes off looking a little cheap. I went for my birthday but for the price this might have been a one time experience. Updated from previous review on 2024-04-06”

“Wanted to try something new so we decided to stop by and it exceeded our expectations! We got the Patita, Sisig, garlic rice, and lumpia. The patita was extremely crispy on the outside while the inside was very soft and fell off the bone! The sauce was amazing and the garlic rice went well with the dish! The sisig was soft and flavorful but had a bit more of a soy sauce taste to it which was not something I was used to with regular sisig, but still great ! Lumpia was crispy and loved eating it with the sweet and sour sauce!”

“The signature dish is the crab in sauce, which comes in medium and large sizes. medium is two crabs with two bowls of rice, and large is three crabs. Compared with other Korean restaurants, the sauce crab taste is mild, and it will not be salty enough to explode in the middle of the meal and cannot continue to eat. The crab is fresh, not fishy, and the meat is firm, not squishy. The crab meat is also very full, the crab legs are full, there is no empty shell crab. The sea urchin rice is a little smaller but the sea urchin is enough. regular sea urchins are not particularly sweet, but they are fresh and worth the price. The sea urchin Rice bowl combo will be served with steamed eggs, runny eggs and two prawns in sauce. Raw marinated salmon rice is amazing to me. The salmon is marinated just enough to be flavorful, but not overly salty. The portions are generous. You can eat two bites of each piece of salmon.”

“Yummy tacos! We had the lomo saltado, carnitas and fish tacos and all were Good! We also had the potato and cheese taquitos and the cara cara Olive oil cake. The Olive oil cake was warm and moist on the inside and was crunchy and crisp on the outside. Went well with the orange sherbet that came with it!”

Everything at Meteora is memorable; whether it's the à la carte menu or the set menu. The sweet pea hors d'oeuvre or the risotto entrée or the rib eye (the wagyu is advised) or the chocolate ganache with sorbet for dessert. Every dish leaves an unforgettable taste in your mouth. We were lucky to be served by Gina but then, everyone who brings a dish is super helpful. Thanks Meteora for this unforgettable culinary experience.”

The tonkotsu gyokai broth was alright, but overall, this was one of the better tsukemen you can find in Socal imo.The Smoked Dashi Ramen, on the other hand, was quite weird. It starts off fine but the longer you take to eat it, the fishier the broth will get so get ready to slurp fast ?”

The most amazing craft cocktails and absolutely delicious food. I think we’ve almost tried everything on the menu and have not been disappointed once. Can be hard to get a reservation, but we usually get there at 5:15 and are able to sit at the bar with no problem.”

“Want to impress LA visitors? Take them here for the shrimp tacos that will take them to Mars. They are out of this world delicious. Not a lot of seating. Service is super quick, and we decided to take it to-go, which they packed up very well (appreciated the cut corner in the styrofoam box). From Boyle Heights to Santa Monica, the crispy shrimp tacos maintained its crunch. Beware. This is the type of spot you're going to start craving for.”

Grab a weekend brunch, go for dinner or just for a rooftop bar lounge and and drink. (Unlike some other roof top bars/restaurants in LA, this one has zero attitude - from either the staff and crowd. “Hidden away in the city of Los Angeles is this amazing bar that serves one of the tastiest omakase. Entering the bar, you see a bar top that seats approx 10-12 people, with a open kitchen vibe. My partner and I had a great time. The Sunday crew was very nice and attentive, engaging with the customers and making things fun! The selection of fish was amazing, definitely a different experience compared to other omakase establishments I've been to.Parking was very easy since they provided easy simple instructions on their website :). “When there a week after Valentine's Day. The location is right under the Chinatown metro station which was kind of cool. They have a parking lot but street parking was plentiful. They sat us by the bar and the server station and we could hear the food expediter apologizing for being late and the owner being super chill about it. Without missing a bit, he went right up to the pass and got to work. The food was awesome with one exception - the Escargot was too herby and not garlicky enough for my taste. They had a very good wine list, the service was super friendly and the owner chatted us up. We will be back.”

“Bought 3, 3 pks at Costco. This focaccia, (Spinach & Feta, Jalapeno Cheddar, and Mozzerella Basil) lasted about 20 minutes in my house. I warmed up a baking sheet, spread the chopped garlic and olive oil and put it the oven. Within minutes my family followed their noses and were circling the kitchen island. I used my pizza cutter so everyone could sample. They all loved it so much, I looked to see where this bakery was. 70 minutes from my house! I sure hope Costco plans to carry these! They were truly a phenominal hit at my house.”

“Angelini Osteria totally lived up to the hype! We had a great dinner there that night and I can't wait to go back again soon. Let's start with the star of this show: uni pasta. Oh my gosh, it was divine! The uni was so fresh and creamy and the pasta itself was cooked just right. Every bite was an explosion of flavor. We also tried the baked lasagna and it was delightful. The layers were perfectly balanced and each bite was full of rich, savory flavors. Let's not forget dessert! We shared a few different things and they were all great. The tiramisu was fluffy and decadent and the chocolate mousse was rich and smooth. Overall, Angelini Osteria is definitely a must-try for Italian food lovers in Los Angeles. They have a lot of choices for takeout food.”

Clamshell bun (Gua Bao) comes with tender thick cut pork, a bit on the salty side, but very well cooked. Fatty but not greasy. Thousand layer pancake with egg and basil was crispy and flaky. The basil flavor is a wonderful addition. Scallion bread sandwich was what we expected. Same tender thick cut pork, very happy to eat this. Next time I will probably get the beef, too much pork belly today Wonton soup is very classic, if you like shrimp wontons, you have to try this. We ended the meal with Hakka mochi and Oolong tea, the mochi tasted just like the ones in Taiwan. The tea was fragrant and is just the perfect compliment to the mochi. The sisig was soft and flavorful but had a bit more of a soy sauce taste to it which was not something I was used to with regular sisig, but still great ! I had ordered the Black king and did both chashu and pork belly, I think there was a tiny bit of a sweet flavor to it vs savory but idk maybe that was just me, or maybe the black garlic. The restaurant is cute and small on the inside and everyone was super nice and helpful but not somewhere that I personally would return to given so many amazing ramen spots in LA but I mean if I hadn't tried it before I would still try it for the first time again we also had the gyoza which was yummy.”

Oh my gosh, it was divine! The uni was so fresh and creamy and the pasta itself was cooked just right. Every bite was an explosion of flavor. We also tried the baked lasagna and it was delightful. The layers were perfectly balanced and each bite was full of rich, savory flavors. Let's not forget dessert! We shared a few different things and they were all great. Reservations were easy to get on a Monday night through OpenTable so that was a huge plus. The hostess during our dinner shift was very friendly and even sat us earlier than our actual reservation time.The ambiance of the restaurant was something that you would want while eating delicious Italian food - cozy, welcoming and unpretentious. Our server, who I believe was named Christopher, was very knowledgable with their whole menu. He offered the house specials but we decided to stick to our plan.We started our meal with an order of calamari which I would say was pretty delicious even though it was a bit on the more pricey side. Regardless, it was very tasty and crispy! The sauces that come with the plate were also both delectable. This appetizer well with two cocktails we ordered which were the Niki and the Basil Marg. So refreshing with the right amount of alchohol.Moving on to the mains, we got The Bianco pizza and Orecchiette pasta. The pizza was uniquely flavored and cooked to perfection. Same goes with our choice of pasta which was somewhat spicy and infused with garlic but still ended up being very, very delicious.We ended our night with a Tiramisu and a cup of hot cappuccino with oat milk. “I was in Santa Monica yesterday morning in line to eat at another restaurant. It was already lunch time. But I wanted breakfast food. I asked the people in line if that restaurant served French Toast for breakfast. A very nice young woman with a cute dog said "go to John O'Groats" if you want a traditional French Toast Breakfast. I followed her advice and drove out to John O'Groats. I am so glad that I did. This place is a tradition diner with a lot of charm. The French Toast was great. As was the coffee. The service was good. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I will definitely be returning to this location with friends. This is a great place to have lunch or dinner. Before I drove out there, I called. I got an outgoing voice message. I left a message in which I said that I had wished that someone had answered the phone. I just wanted to know if they are still serving breakfast. When I arrived, the proprietor said to me "You called didn't you?" I answered in the affirmative. He responded "We have breakfast all day every day!" I wish I had taken down the name and contact information of the woman who recommended John O'Groats. “I thought the food was very tasty but after spending $55 on lunch and not being even remotely close to full was a bit of let down. And I'm not even a particularly large individual weighing in at 180lb. Don't know how people will be able to keep this place afloat spending that kind of money but leaving hungry.”

“This is an amazing taco place right in my neighborhood. Their two signature tacos... the steak and chicken... were phenomenal, tasty and a perfect price point. I've also tried the Birria, Al Pastor and the quesadilla. All were great! And the guac was legit. It's in their name, so it has to be good! I tried the house guac, they also have a spicy version which I'll try next time. Oh and the cold brew/horchata was very tasty! I will definitely be back!”
