Would go so far as to say Cinquecento is the best Italian restaurant in the city. Their bolognese is elite, and the decor is welcoming and modern. Great drink selection

PROS: - Beautiful decor! - Great GM - Food is filling, and good (if warm) CONS: - Food is very slow (~1hr) - Food comes lukecold - Service dreadful I may not have come on the right day but I'm willing to try it again to see if they take criticism and improve.

This restaurant has enough room to host two separate private parties. We attended an event on Sunday in the upstairs location, nice light from the windows, great seating options for larger groups. The food was buffet style with a wide variety of options. Favorite was the pasta with bolognese. Bar drinks are stellar, especially the Bloody Mary. Staff is super attentive and we are definitely returning to check out the menu items.

Cinquecento honestly exceeded my expectations. I had come once before for brunch and remember thinking it was just fine. However, I came back with a friend for dinner and was really impressed. We got the warm ricotta with toast and a bruschetta as appetizers. Both were really delicious. My friend and I also shared the fettuccine with mushrooms as an entree. I was really impressed with this dish. So flavorful, the mushrooms were great and the pasta was so well cooked. For dessert we shared the banana torta with salted caramel ice cream, and the panna cotta. The panna cotta was SO GOOD. So creamy and sweet and nutty. I loved it. The service was also pretty attentive, and for what we got I wasn't too upset at the price either. Highly recommend!

I went to Cinquecento a few years back and it was great. Without checking yelp, I made reservations for me and my girlfriends first Valentine's Day together. The day of the 14th I decided to check yelp, and was a bit concerned from some of the recent reviews My experience was fantastic. Even on a busy night like valentines I was seated within 15 minutes of my reservation and we loved the food, service and experience. We will be eating at Cinquecento again and soon I never do yelp reviews but my experience vs what I was reading was so different I felt compelled to say something. Highly recommend!

A solid choice for any meal of the day. Dinner is my favorite but brunch is very good too. Two of my cousins have had baby showers in the private room downstairs, and they are always attentive, food is fresh, drinks are delicious, and it's a really great space for private events with its own private bar space. I would definitely recommend dinner over other meals, as brunch was good but not terribly memorable. To start dinner, we got prosciutto with figs and ricotta. Simply amazing. Such a generous serving served with bread, the figs were flavorful, and the prosciutto seemed never ending. Love. You can't go wrong with any of the pastas, but I always try the bolognese wherever I go and theirs did not disappoint. It came out piping hot, the sauce was hearty and substantial, and the tagliatelle was perfectly al dente and chewy. So fresh and so yummy. We have yet to try the dessert since we're always too full by the end of the meal, but I will certainly be back!

Went here tonight and the experience was awful! We have loved this restaurant and been here at least 5 times but this time ruined it for us. Our meal took 2 hours to come out and they continued to come up with excuses every five minutes: "it'll be right out" they said, "one meal was overcooked give us two minutes". They offered us a charcuterie board to kill the time and because of this I wasn't even hungry by the time our meal came out! This was very unprofessional and we certainly won't be returning anytime soon.

My first time here .. jimmy the bartender was spectacular, friendly and engaging. Created a drink just for me ! Scott the general manager was more then helpful to accommodate the needs of my family. Sebastian our server was very helpful in the selection of our dinners. This was our annual birthday celebration. Desserts with candles at end was an added surprise. A spectacular night !!

I have been here for drinks and have gotten one app. But it was good enough to make me one to come back! We got the burrata and the bread that came with it was so yummy so naturally I was sad there were only two pieces. As far as atmosphere goes, the staff is friendly and the restaurant itself is a little on the darker side but it makes sense when you look around at their decorations. They created columns with bottles lined up and those are lighted up, I'm probably doing a terrible job describing it. It's really cool so you'll have to come see it yourself. Overall great experience and it's pretty close to where I work, so this may become a regular sport.

Cinquecento Roman- Trattoria should receive high praise for impeccable service meal execution, and overall atmosphere. From fine wines, charcuterie, pastas, and desserts, nothing could surpass the hospitality of they staff and dining experience. Highly recommend and will be back soon!

My partner and I went here with a good friend to celebrate his birthday. He chose the place. We started with drinks...all very good. Then we had Ricotta Fresca as an appetizer. Needed a second serving of bread for this. Delicious. The birthday boy ordered the Buccatini. My partner and I split the Bolognese and a Kale Salad. The server was very nice and pre-split the dishes before bringing to the table. How nice. Way more than enough food. We ended with a birthday slice of Tiramisu. Wonderful. We will be back for sure.

One of our favorite places! Ask about splitting the pastas! Easy trick to try more things. Good wines and nice vibe

Very elegant and accessible place. They offer big meals and for affordable prices. We loved the food a lot and the staff were super personal and chatty. Will definitely recommend this place.

Although I've been coming here for years, our trip on New Year's Eve with a party of 6 prompted me to write a review finally. Reservation: booked online about three weeks before NYE. I received a friendly call about a week before to confirm which benefits both is and the restaurant on a busy night. Location: The location is cool, not only for NYE but also for a nice dinner out during the week. You walk down a long alleyway and enter through the back of the building. Private space for parties downstairs that can accommodate about 50 people, but the main restaurant is upstairs. You walk up a lit stairway and see hundreds of bottles of Aperol Spritz used against lighting for decor, and it gives a very chill ambiance as a result. Drinks: The drink selection is pricey for what you get. We ordered a pitcher of Aperol spritz and received 60% ice. Disappointing for what we spent. Two bottles of wine, average price each for nothing special. I'd stick with the beer - it's a reliable place for a nice authentic Moratti Italian lager. Food: Simply put, the food used to be better. The appetizers, bruschetta, and burrata came with very little bread - we ran out. I asked for olive oil also, and they missed the plate and poured it on my arm (accidents happen). The roasted chicken was delicious, but the pasta was terrible. Ordered a straightforward Pomodoro, and the spaghetti was not al denti, it was complete mush. The sauce was without taste. Staff: generally excellent, I've never had any issues, but if you like to take some time to catch up with friends, then you will feel rushed. Sat down and immediately the question comes up - what do you want to drink? Which was a stretch because we hadn't opened the menu yet, but what killed me was they also squeezed in "any thoughts on appetizers" as well. It was NYE, but this is generally my experience always.
