I don’t eat Italian food often because I don’t know how to order. So most time I order scampi or lasagna. In Mario’s I didn’t see lasagna on the menu. The lady with a big smile when we walked in came to assist. She said lasagna is such a popular dish in her restaurant so she does not need to put it on the menu but she will make me one. It was the best one I ever had. I love the sauce so much. It tastes smooth but not sour. Usually I’ll have some stomach upset after I eat tomato sauce dishes. But this time I didn’t have any problem. I even went to bed right after dinner without any issues. Love the place. Love the service. Love the atmosphere. If you’re traveling in Boston and stay near the airport, this place should be on your list to visit for your meal.

I don't write many reviews but had to post for this amazing family Italian restaurant right by the airport. Amazing warm atmosphere and service and food was delicious! Ate here with my sister the night before an early flight and it was exactly the low-key but special meal we were looking for. Get the seafood pasta (alla Mario)!

The food, service, hospitality, and environment were all amazing. Everything came out timely, hot and delicious. The wait staff were so friendly and welcoming and checked on us multiple times throughout the meal. Every part of this experience was outstanding.

Everything was impeccable from the second we walked in until we walked out the door when the night was over. We were greeted by this very nice women whom we found out later was the owner. Our waitress was wicked awesome, making very honest suggestions from the menu, as well as, the specials. The lasagna was just like mom used to make. The veal was incredible, as was all the other dishes everyone else had. We were so full BUT based on how great the appetizers and entrees were, we HAD to order dessert. Lol. The owner came over and we chatted for a while. Our daughter recently moved to East Boston only a few miles from Mario’s so we will DEFINITELY be back!!!!!!!
