4.5 stars The restaurant is very classy and elegant. The service was excellent, we got there very early for our reservation and they still seated us right away. We ordered from the prix fixe menu, overall the food was very good, there were some standout dishes but overall my taste buds weren't blown away as I expected them to be at a high end restaurant, the most disappointing dish for me was the fois gras, it was pretty bland and the accompanying flavors of the dish didn't seem to fit together. Everything else was good or great. A nearly perfect dining experience, I just had a slightly higher expectation for the food but overall was good and would recommend.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5This review is for their patisserie pop up. I have had the pleasure to dine at Menton in the past and could not wait to try their pop up. I must say, it was a taste sensation like no other! Every bite was a journey through flavors that left my taste buds dancing with joy.? Sour Cherry and Pistachio Napoleon: A true masterpiece! The layers of flaky pastry and the delightful combination of sour cherry and pistachio created a symphony of flavors. Each bite was a blissful burst of sweetness and nuttiness.? Chocolate Croissant: Pure indulgence! The rich, buttery layers enveloping the decadent chocolate made for a heavenly treat. It was like a warm hug for my taste buds.? Almond Croissant: A classic redefined! The perfect balance of crunch and softness, with a generous almond filling that was simply divine. This croissant is a must-try for almond enthusiasts!? Pastrami Spiced Croissant: A savory delight! The innovative blend of pastrami spices infused into the flaky layers created a unique and satisfying experience. A savory twist that I thoroughly enjoyed. One of my favorites!? Carrot Cake Cinnamon Bun: A delightful fusion! The marriage of carrot cake and cinnamon bun was a stroke of genius. Moist, flavorful, and utterly satisfying – a true testament to the patisserie's creativity. One of the best cinnamon buns I have ever had.? Chocolate Eclair: While the other treats swept me off my feet, the chocolate eclair, unfortunately, wasn't my personal favorite. The toffee undertones were a bit overwhelming for my taste, but I can appreciate the craftsmanship and quality. The patisserie was located where their bar usually is and it was as inviting as the flavors themselves, with a warm and friendly staff adding to the overall positive experience. 10/10 across the board, with an array of delights that will leave you craving more. Please have more pop ups!

I brought my wife to Menton for her 40th birthday and I am super pleased with the entire experience. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. From beginning to end, the staff did a wonderful job creating a memorable experience for us. The service was impeccable with a supreme attentiveness to detail. Both the server and sommelier shared with us special and vivid details of origins of the food and wine that truly heightened the entire dining experience. The food was not only delectable but beautiful to look at, and the wines paired perfectly with each dish. I would highly recommend this restaurant and we will certainly be returning for the next special occasion.

I don’t know why this is 4.5. My experience was a total foodie’s daydream. This is the kind of restaurant where you should order 4 courses at once and let the experience come to you. Not cheap, no, but some people spend money on concerts because they love the art of music. Food is art! I love art all sorts. I only give 4 stars for atmosphere because a cork ceiling would help acoustics although I should add back a star bc the bathroom smells divine! ☺️? what did I eat? Oysters, caviar puffs, pistachio cream pasta, salmon, chocolate deliciousness. The point is to finish each course. Yes, leave every plate, every course! (No, don’t lick the bowl.)

Wonderful food, staff, service and experience! Highly recommend. As night goes on noise/energy level rises (but still very acceptable) so if you want quieter experience book an earlier reservation.

Fantastic meal! Read a lot of reviews that it was a slow service. I felt it was perfectly spaced and perfectly timed. When you have basically 9 dishes, it takes time to get them all out. We did not do the wine pairing, but the selection of wine was great and cocktails were even better. The only drawback on my end was that I felt there wasn't a dish that was unique. Every dish was cooked perfectly. Would highly recommend going if you have the chance. Worth the price of admission.

We went there for our anniversary and met others who hold this restaurant with such high regard that they, too, were celebrating special occasions. What a great experience! The tasting menu was delicious and the wine pairings ideal. The service was impeccable as they anticipated our pace. Everyone from the bartender to the maitre d' was friendly but not intrusive. The Menton experience is worth the expense and definitely should be on every gourmand's bucket list!

We were immediately greeted by the staffand brought to our table where the service was amazing. We were celebrating our anniversary and started with a beautiful bottle of champagne. We both had the truffle menu with the wine pairing, and it was outstanding!

We went to the restaurant with high hopes of trying their PrixFix menu, and it was a bit of a mixed experience. The service was excellent, no complaints there. However, when we looked at the menu, we noticed it had quite a few "extras," which felt a bit odd for a PrixFix concept. To add a twist, they offered us a souffle dessert, but it came with an additional cost on top of the $135 PrixFix menu. Now, onto the food. It was good, but I wouldn't call it exceptional. Boiled fingerling potatoes and baked cauliflower as sides just didn't scream "extraordinary" to me. I was hoping for the chef to step it up a notch to make it a true fine dining experience.

Excellent date night place. Serene, so you can have decent conversation without having to talk louder. Great food - can be Michelin Star if Michelin is in Boston. Good service. Will definitely come back.

Amazing experience! The service in particular was fantastic. Truly made me feel like a special guest. Food was also excellent, and the wine pairings were generous and very high quality. Even the decaf cappuccino was exceptional. If Michelin comes to Boston, this place will absolutely receive a star. Great for a special occasion or just a weekday treat.

1.It took them a while to serve. 2.The quality of the wines chosen for the pairing was below average. 3.It was expensive for what we ate. 4.We asked for sparkling water, but after the first glass, they kept refilling with regular water. 5.We definitely overpaid.

I have been to Menton several times in the past although not recently. Most recent experience was different from priors. 1) seemed much less formal with no tablecloths 2) seemed more like a family restaurant with multiple tables with teenagers in sneakers 3) perhaps because of change in decor the noice volume was quite loud. Hard to hear others due to sound bouncing off multiple hard surfaces 4) waitstaff quality was still excellent. They are still formal/well dressed and attentive 5) food taste was good but several dishes came out slightly cold (Vermont wagyu for example) 6) final bill for two (chefs tasting plus pasta supplement, 1/2 dozen oysters, one glass of wine, one wine paring) was $900 after 22% tip. Not sure if the value was there given the changes compared to prior dining experience.

I couldn't love this place more. I am a solo diner and so dinner for one can sometimes be awkward or feel like you're overlooked. John and team at Menton were AMAZING. They said “we love our solo guests” and they brought out all sorts of treats to make the evening special. The food was so unique and combined flavors I had never tried. Highly highly recommend and thank you for taking the time to get to know me and show me the art of your cuisine.

Amazing service, second to none; however, the value is just not there.... The food was good but not great. Definitely not worth the almost $1k we dropped on a dinner for two. At that price point we should be blown away.
