I really enjoyed my dining experience here to celebrate my birthday by myself. The seating arrangement is assigned when you first enter the dining room. The fish was very high quality and service was very thorough and courteous. Would love to come back and bring some friends in the future.

Went to No Relation with my business partner the other night for a little celebration. We both enjoyed the food , and also my favorite part- the sake pairing. Most importantly. Great service and great atmosphere~ will definitely come back.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at No Relation. Despite the initial confusion with the Shore Leave restaurant's front door, once inside, it was like uncovering a well-kept secret culinary haven. Upon arrival, we were navigated to wait in the Shore Leave bar area before being escorted to a nice, cozy, designed private room. The ambiance had a perfect balance, clean and inviting, setting the stage for an exceptional dining experience. Service was top-notch, with warm, attentive staff making us feel welcome from the start. The food...each dish was a masterpiece, showcasing fresh ingredients, beautiful presentations, and flavors that dances on your palate. My friend opted for sake pairing, and she was delighted with both the quality of the selection and the generous pours. Alexey, the General Manager, demonstrated an impressive knowledge of sake, sharing insightful recommendations, enhancing our dining experience. In conclusion, No Relation exceeded expectations in every aspect. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking an unforgettable dining experience!

Everything about this place is unique and special. The location is quaint. The service and hospitality was top notch. The food was nothing short of outstanding. Not everything in life is worth the price of admission, but no relation certainly is.

10 seats, 12 courses, 3 chefs, make for one exceptional experience. Each bite is prepared by hand. You are guided through each course to fully appreciate the origin, ingredients, taste profile of every morsel. Drink parings are additional but complete the experience. Reservations and prepay are required, plan in advance!

The Omakase experience was amazing. We really loved the hidden nature of the sushi bar the back of Shore Leave. You could definitely stop there first for a cocktail. We had actually stopped at Bar Mezzana for a drink, which is part of the same restaurant group, on our way over to No Relation. We had been looking forward to this dinner for quite a while, and we were finally able to get a Saturday night reservation. All of the courses were delicious and we enjoyed each one. We had excellent seats in the middle of the long side of the sushi bar so we were able to watch each piece being created by the chefs. The background music was 90s hip-hop, but it was not too loud and really added to the unique ambience of the experience. I did read a few reviews where there were comments of up selling. There are definitely add-ons you can include, but we felt no pressure to add anything to our meal. In addition, the sommelier gave us a few recommendations for sake, and the one she ultimately determined would be best, was not the most expensive suggestion! At the end of the meal you were able to add on additional courses if you choose, we added on our two favorite pieces from the meal, as well as the A5 Wagyu, because I had never tried it before. Even without the additions, we would've left full. I also really enjoyed the gourmet chocolates they served at the very end. Just an amazing night and looking forward to going back again!

This experience was insane. I was slightly worried about how intimate it was going to be (I like talking to the people I come with and not worrying about outside perception). But it was an amazing time. The food was like nothing I've ever experienced, and everything was so relaxed yet upscale. Hiiiiiighly recommend.

Disappointing Experience at 'No Relation' OmakaseI recently dined at 'No Relation', an omakase-style sushi restaurant, and was left quite disappointed. Despite its high price point of $200 per person, the experience did not meet my expectations for several reasons:1. **Focus on Upselling**: A significant part of the dining experience seemed to be directed towards selling additional items like sake and caviar, rather than focusing on the quality of the sushi itself.2. **Quality of Sushi**: The sushi, although average in taste, did not justify the high cost. Most pieces were torched, which, in my opinion, detracted from the natural flavors of the fish.3. **Limited Selection and Portion Size**: The meal consisted of only 14 pieces of sushi per person, which felt limited given the cost. Additionally, the dessert - two small pieces of chocolate resembling Royce chocolate - seemed underwhelming and not commensurate with the price of the meal.In conclusion, my experience at 'No Relation' was underwhelming, especially when considering the high cost. The restaurant seemed more focused on selling additional high-priced items than providing a memorable sushi experience. I believe there are better omakase options available that offer greater value for money.

This opened my mind in different ways. Best experience my girlfriend and I have EVER had in a restaurant and one of our favorite memories. So much so now we look for similar experiences. Very hospitable and knowledgeable staff. Just come here. It is pricey so if that’s going to be an issue for you maybe don’t come here. Definitely unique setting in Boston, I thought it was well worth it. Thank you Ada and the staff

The food was fantastic, with real variety and super knowledgeable staff. We never felt rushed, but also never had to wait long between courses. They paid attention to the little details. Can't wait to return!

This was an amazing experience in an intimate, yet relaxed setting. I was expecting to have amazing food and drink, but I was not expecting it to be paired with hip hop hits from my adolescence including Outkast, Usher, Lil John, Flo Rida, and 50 Cent, which became a highlight!of the night for me. Feel free to take pictures and videos, chat around, ask questions, and be surrounded by people who have a high respect for all of the work and craftsmanship that goes into providing the food on your plate and drink in your cup. Oh, and it was beyond delicious, as expected. If you like Japanese food, you will like everything.

If you don't eat the uni or shellfish, they give you cheaper fish substitute. They charge tips beforehand at 22% so it's really not a value for money. I've been to multiple omakase all over the world and it's my first time seeing an omakase that is not well prepared despite putting the dietary restrictions weeks in advance. I've been to multiple omakase that had went above and beyond despite my partner telling them last minute about his dietary restriction. Good food, not the best I've had but not really worth the 200 bucks per person. Hygiene of head chef was also questionable, noticed he was touching his nose often with his bare hands then wiping them on a small towel. If I were to say at which price point it's worth at, I would say around 80-110 usd max (before tip). Their chawanmushi is watered down with a strong aftertaste of the sesame oil which means that they didn't use any dashi in the process of making the chawanmushi. When compared to Umami Sushi's 18- course omakase with their 14-course omakase, I would recommend Umami sushi in a heartbeat. Its main highlight is just their aesthetic and feeling of exclusiveness when they bring you to the room. But as a foodie, it's just ok if someone else is paying the meal for you. I didn't feel comfortable with the constant upsell of caviar for 80 bucks and truffle for 50 bucks(if i'm not wrong). The two chef speaking loudly in cantonese ruined the ambiance. For that pricepoint, I expected more professionalism from the chefs - the assistant chef was definitely more professional than the head chef. I would have preferred him to serve me than the head chef(mostly due him constantly wiping his nose without washing his hands).

It was good, but not excellent. I found price-taste ratio just not there, just like everything else in Boston. And compared to other omakazes I have tried before elsewhere outside of Boston, it lacked the taste. You can have an excellent omakaze half of the price in New York. Boston is just not a place for food it seems. The overall experience also too American, with some show off and trying to sell up more things for a lot of money.
