This was a great place at 1 time , not sure why the owner forgot about taken care of her customers! She acts like u owe her lol guess the TV show went to her head! Stay away even Market basket s bakery is much better!

When the store first opened I bought numerous cakes here ! Last couple times in the store the owner could not even be bothered to say hello ! Tonight was the icing on the cake lol ! Called at 450 pm ( after being asked to pic up a cake at 445 ) I asked if she had any birthday cakes she said yes ! I told her I was on Bridge st but in. Lowell could she wait 5 minutes ? I was told no she couldn't she had stuff to due !!!!! Great customer service lol ( guess business is good enough or the TV show got them enough customers that she can forget customer service )

Had my dad’s 80th casino theme party. The cake was a hit! Checkerboard with ganache was delicious. Great job on the poker chips and the dice….. were rice crispy treats!! Just all around a fantastic job. Thank you.

I’ve been ordering cakes from them for a few years now and never been disappointed. But now seems like they rush cakes. 3 cakes now I recently picked up this year that looks like an amateur did it. Was promised that the cake would be like the picture and yet looks like I picked it up from wish. Placed the orders weeks in advance but looks like it was done last minute. For over $200 it’s not worth it. Very disappointed. Last time I’ll be ordering from them.

Bad exp from the moment i walked in. The hours online said walk ins welcome to place orders on the day i went. When i showed up to place the order the owner gave me an attitude saying she has alot going on that shes in production. she threw her hands in the air walked away to get order pad and did not try to work with me or answer my questions when asking her about flavors and decor. Mean while everyone else was walking in and getting goodies with no problems from another staff. I almost did not order but i said heck let me just do it as im on crunch time. Upon pick up of cake the cake was nice but the color was not the color i wanted but its okay i just dealt with it and to top it off once i served the cake the frosting was like LITERALLY the whole cake. Not one person complimented the taste. They said i gave them frosting and i said thats all it is pretty much the whole thing is frosting so everyones plate was full of frosting. It was overly sweet. I honestly feel as a business owner you should be warm and inviting.

I had a wonderful experience with Sugar Coated Bakery. I recently had a birthday and wanted a shark cake and they delivered!!!! It was JAWSOME!! Ha ha…and tasted delicious. It was red velvet and it was moist and meaty and just over the top YUM. I highly recommend this place for a specialty cake!!!!
Good reviews. I like to shop local so I gave them a try. Got a variety for Easter . Cupcakes , cake pops , cookies and whoopee pies. Very disappointed!! No flavor! Frosting was barely edible! Almost like everything had been frozen. And the prices were on the high side!! Will NEVER recommend them to anyone. Such a disappointment, especially for Easter! ?♀️

Ok - I took the first bite of the round brownie with raspberry dome of decadence on top and I actually found myself cooing. Absolutely fabulous!! I can’t wait to try more. Thank you Sugar Coated Bakery

After hearing nothing but good things.......After reading mostly positive reviews, we figured we would try it out and get a custom cake for my son's 12th birthday. I have to say, not one person who tried this cake was impressed........It was AWFUL. The consensus was that the cake itself had NO flavor. The frosting was disgusting, it was like eating a spoonful of Crisco and again, NO flavor. Would not recommend at all, 0/10.I guess we will continue to make the drive out to Worcester for our cakes and cupcakes!
