As close as you can get to Dominican Republic. Delicious food but wished the portions were as big as they are in Dominican Republic lol. I recommended their rice and beans and breakfast options. I always say I will take a picture but forget each time. The aroma food smell capture me every time.

It’s hard to find nice home cooked Dominican food. The issue here is they located in a dead zone all the business next to them are abandoned so you would accidentally pass them!Y’all these ladies are so niceThe other customers are niceIt don’t matter if you don’t speak Spanish they will find a way to take care of youThey got fresh food clean serviceI got the snapper and like 5-6 pastelito? while I waited for my snapper. They give out big boy portionsThey are reasonably pricedI also had some soncocho it was ok I liked the corn I just wish it had more vegetables but that’s my issue not on themThen I had the stew chicken with rice and beans that was deliciousMy friend said the pork was greatThe rice by itself with the snapper was dry so maybe add some gravy to the riceThe snapper was so big the next day I made a southern dish with grits and fish ! So if your a big family this is a good place

Best food ever and great prices! I go there once a week and everyone who works there hangs in with me as I don't speak Spanish. Cannot say enough about El Bohio. I order empanadas, san chocho and chicken soup, beef with rice and beans, tres leches cake and flan. Cannot say enough about this amazing "diamond in the rough" in Fitchburg. The customers are great as well as they sometimes help me order as my spanish is horrible! I highly recommend it!

This is a small restaurant in downtown Fitchburg. They have great reviews so we tried them out while in the area. There's some seating, but most folks were taking their food to go. Service was great, lovely, friendly ladies are working the front. Portions are big, price is a steal compared to Boston. There's plenty of variety and I was surprised to see they had sancocho on a Wednesday. Food is good, not outstanding. Overall, I would recommend giving them try.

It is rare that I give a place 5 stars. This little hole-in-the-wall is amazing. There wasn't anyone on the street in what appeared to be a desolate part of town. But... this spot was packed. The food is traditional Dominican fare but done extremely well. The price is really good for the large portion size. The ladies working here while very busy and kind and attentive. Speaking Spanish is a help here but not necessary.
