Four of us ate and only one had hot food. Some of the food tasted prefrozen. When we asked it to be heated up server was rude. I don’t think any of the ingredients were fresh. Don’t go!

This was the third time trying Jones River Tavern. The last 2 times were within the first 3 months of opening. What a transformation in the last couple of years!!! We got the food Togo but it was spectacular. I highly recommend getting the 3 meat platter. Everything was fall off the bone tender. The brisket just melts in your mouth. If you like thick creamy cheesy mac then get it. The slaw has a good creamy/tang balance. Normally fried pickles are soggy traveling. They still had a good crispy coating. We also got a bar pizza for the kids. That was really good as well. The cheese was cooked golden brown yet not burnt. The bone in wings were also good.All of the food and service (really nice and knowledgeable bartender) was a far cry from out last experience. I’ve opened restaurants so I know it takes time to get things right, but dry overcooked ribs and a manager/owner who insisted we explain exactly what we didn’t like was a huge nail in the coffin. The whole experience was awful and we swore we’d never be back. Glad we changed our minds. We’ll be back for sure.

In the area and decided to give this place a try since they had great reviews. The food was delicious. We had the meat sampler, chili with cheese and jalapeño and a cheese bar style pizza. The service was also great. Definitely will be back!
