My wife and I were staying at a local hotel and wanted a little more than the continental breakfast. We decided to give Joe's a try. I ordered Irish eggs Benedict and my wife ordered homefries, hash and toast. The service was quick and friendly, the food was delicious, and the price was extremely reasonable. We definitely will go again next time we're in Lee!

Joe's is a great diner with a 50's feel and 80's prices. Just passing through, glad I stopped in! Delicious breakfast, corned beef hash was excellent. Entertaining old timers/regulars spinning yarns at the counter.Food: 5/5

This is a great place to eat. It is a locals place and they made me feel like a local. The safe was kind and friendly. We engaged in conversation with other people. It is a great place and food was great as well. I will definitely be going again before we leave this wonderful town.Food: 5/5

There is some question if the iconic Rockwell painting was actually based at this diner as advertised, but who cares. Sitting there, in this small space, you can almost imagine the little "run-away" boy and the town cop sitting at the counter instead of the regulars there that day. And the pancakes were not all that bad!
A great place with a classic atmosphere and classic diner food which I have graded low only because it doesn't match the high end diners that charge twice as much. Expect to wait for seating during the rush hours.Food: 3/5

We stopped by the diner only because it’s the location for the Norman Rockwell painting “Protect and Serve”. The food was average, and it was very clear that if you are a local, you will definitely receive better/faster service. As we were from out of town (aka tourists), as well as about 40% of the other customers, the severs we mere slow to take care of (acknowledge) us during our visit. We sat at the counter because the tables were full, and it felt like we were sitting in a “locals” seat… in fact, some locals came in… ordered there food, got there coffee before we were even acknowledged. If you have a lot of time to spend… sure, spot in for a while - if not, you may want to try another spot.

Good diner food. Friendly staff and good food. Had pouched eggs and my husband had a great omelet Small place so do not wait to long for breakfast. Not opened for dinner due to staff shortage
Delicious food and large portions, amiable staff. Besides, the place is known for Rockwell's painting of the "Runaway," where a police officer talks to a kid at a lunch counter and has all his possessions in a small pouch. It was painted at Joe's, and for that reason, it is fantastic to eat there.

Great food, but cash only!!! This is 2022. Having to use their ATM with insane fees is unwelcoming. The $2.50 usage fee is not so bad, but using a non-US bank card, the fx fees are 13% above market.

Great old school diner in downtown Lee. Nothing fancy but everything is good. If you familiar with Norman Rockwell then you might recognize this place has it is the subject of the painting of the little boy sitting on the counter stools along with the police officer. A print of this is hanging on their wall along with a photograph of the two subjects 50 years later. It is quite touching. Staff and service are excellent and interact with the customers. They seem to be fun loving individuals who enjoy their work. Basic breakfast menu nothing really unusual but the food is good as a matter fact it’s quite good. Limited seating as the place is quite small but if you go I’m sure you’ll enjoy your visit.

Coming from France, I am quite picky about food. Joe's menu was simple, and everything we ordered was fresh and good. The service was great and the waitresses were lovely. The historical Norman Rockwell connection makes Joe's a necessary stop for anyone looking for a meal around Stockbridge!

I used to stop here for breakfast when I went to the Berkshires to visit my father at his summer home. Like most places in the Berkshires, the employees were super friendly and upbeat. I sat at the counter and had traditional breakfast fare with coffee. The service was quick, the portions very generous and the quality great. One warning: if you eat everything you're served for breakfast be prepared not to have an appetite until dinner time.
