My grandmother speaks highly of Stone Senior Living. They are attentive to her needs and there are always activities to keep busy each day. She says that both staff and residents are very nice.

I had a good and reasonable experience visiting a resident at The Stone Institute in December 2022. My primary goal was to bring the Sacraments and this went smoothly amid appropriate precautions. The residents appear well cared for by attentive nurses and dedicated staff.
I was impressed with the level of communication among staff, patient and family. The staff was consistent and attentive.

I will not recommend this facility to anyone. My mom was there only for 2 days and she end up in ER even though we have repeatedly have asked them from the moment she arrived to suction her excessive saliva. Apparently no one in the staff knew how to do this and my mom aspirated over her own saliva and got pneumonia. The same situation happened today. I arrived and asked if she was suctioned and the nurse told me no while the nursing director said yes. They are liers especially the nursing director who is a bitter and tricky person and exercise her power to emotionally torture families and cooks up stories. Having said that she cooked up another story and even though nothing was wrong with her and we begged her to keep my mom at the facility she sent her on the ambulance to Newton Wellesley Hospital. Even the EMT was amazed as he called me and said why are we taking her to hospital and they regularly get complaints about Stone rehab and we should look for a new facility. I knew nursing director and the new head nurse making up stories when they recommended us to take to Careone in Newton which had an awful reputation. They just too lazy and don't want to do the work they are required to do and their staff is inexperienced. Just Google their name in medicare website and you will see they have overall rating of 3. The nursing director is a bitter person and I wish one day she end up needing medical help and she receives the same type of treatment she provided to my mom for her short stay in this awful facility. There are just some people who just need to retire or get another jobs, maybe become butchers.
