Our first time dining at the Barley Neck. It was a great find.Our server Peter, was amazing and the food didn't disappoint. Peter was so attentive, friendly and added a wonderful touch to our dining experience .Peter had recommended a popular cod dish on the menu and so glad he did . We appreciated his over and beyond service, even to double check that the cod dish hadn't sold out, since it was a hopping Saturday night.I had the garden salad and pizza special and my husband had the cod dish which we shared. We enjoyed every bite of such a wide spread of delicious flavors. If the night couldn't be any better we had great entertainment from a three member band ! This topped off a ideal and joyful evening. Thank you Peter and the skilled chefs at Barley Neck and great band!

Our neighbor recommended it, had never heard of it, glad we now know it! Had the lobster bisque special -- amazing -- and a BLT melt (everything you'd want it to be plus their crazy good spiral fries) as well as the kobucha tempura (tasty, but with an odd sauce) and the trombette pasta, one of the best things I've eaten (no vampires tonight ... ). Shared a butterscotch budino for dessert -- diabetics steer clear, and a bit too liquid, but tasty. Excellent cocktails and wine, as well as an unusual amaro, always a happy discovery -- ticked all the boxes. Our neighbor had described it as romantic -- not sure I'd agree. The bar scene somewhat dominates, including televisions, and while the decor is cozy and nice, pretty large and lively. Guess it depends on your definition. But very worth seeking out.

We stay at the Nauset Beach Inn a couple of times a year...First time we've hit this place.You will not be disappointed. I read some of the one star reviews...These people must have been at the wrong place...this place was fantastic. Peter, waiter ,was absolutely great.Food was outstanding. Ambiance was 5 star...wait staff..busers..hostesses all did a fantastic job.This will be our "go to" place when on the Cape. Thank you Barley Neck staff.

Day before Thanksgiving. Show up for reservation, no cod, no steak, no pizza... I have a severe selfish allergy, so my food options were very limited..Bakes brie was phenomenal. Burger bland, my friends got scampi della neeve--Both kind of bland. Drinks were drinks. Band playing WAY too loud. Service is excellent, even though im sure he was annoyed by us

Under new ownership. Chef is from nearby breakfast place (the Rail). $1 shuck, ribs and wings until 6 is a great deal.
I've called and ordered their fabulous cheeseburgers - sometimes what's in your refrigerator just doesn't inspire. The Barley Neck cooks an awesome burger and their fries are thick cut and great.

Food was fine and service was great, but they added a fee for my using a credit card to pay which I believe is illegal in Massachusetts.

First time here tonight and we really enjoyed it. Nice atmosphere in the tavern side. Big bar. We had a 12" cheese pizza for an app and it was very good. Then we had the shrimp scampi and the fish and chips. Both were really yummy. Good portions. Cooked well and seasoned well. We had espresso martini and a blackberry sangria. Both were perfect. Can't wait to come back and bring friends.
