We were in Plymouth for lunch and this place showed up as one of the top seafood restaurants. It turned out this wasn't really a seafood restaurant and more like a New England pub which was a pleasant surprise.Though there wasn't much seafood on the menu we ended up ordering three seafood dishes, Clam Chowder, Risotto with Shrimp & Scallops and Portuguese Cod. I did not like the Clam Chowder because it was unusually sour but my wife liked the change. However the Risotto and Portuguese Codwere excellent, far exceeding our expectations. ?The restaurant is popular, so be prepared for a bustling environment. Unfortunately, our payment experience wasn't ideal - there seemed to be some confusion with newer payment methods. Overall, we'd still recommend it for the food.

Our waitress was wonderful. Hated though where they placed us. If you visit I'd be clear to tell them not to put you near the door. The customers waiting just kept getting in your space and too close to your food (don't like strangers near my food ?!) Thank goodness I ordered an appetizer otherwise my meal would not have filled me, Mahi mahi lettuce wraps, but no side dish. It was tasty though.

Lively bar restaurant, very busy, had to wait half hour for a table. Drinks were good, food was excellent, service was great!

Great food! A little pricey but worth it.Update: I'm going back. We went at 4:30 PM. the place was packed. That's a good sign. We had the fish and chips. It was incredible!!! The fish was dipped in a Guinness beer batter. OMG, so good the portions were huge. The cold slaw was perfect. Best cole slaw on the south shore. The staff is absolutely delightful. They act like they are all best friends. It really added to the experience.Parking: The parking can be tricky depending on the season.Kid-friendliness: First off: this is a tavern, a bar. However, the kids get the same respect and a little more attention then the parents. I would take my grandchildren there.

We has a great experience at Dillion's Local. Let me tell you, the food was absolutely amazing! The French onion soup, clam chowder, burrata salad, shepherd's pie, and the meatloaf platter were all so delicious that we couldn't pick a favorite. Even the little one enjoyed the shepherd's pie with a side of green beans. To wash it all down, we had some Guinness and house cabernet, while the designated driver and kiddo opted for water. And, to top it all off, the kiddo ordered a homemade peanut butter cup for dessert, which was a delightful surprise!Next time we go back, I'm definitely going to try the Portuguese cod and scallops, while my favorite kiddo wants to sample the California club sandwich. Can't wait to go back and enjoy some more excellent food!
This cozy, family owned spot in Plymouth is a must when you’re in the area. They have creative menu, everything tastes fresh, and has a comfort feel to it. Hands down the best crock of French onion soup I’ve ever had. The staff makes you feel like you’re family when you’re there. We dove into our entrees quicker than I could take a picture! In a time when it’s difficult and costly to choose where to eat, the decision is easy going to Dillon’s. You’re guaranteed to have great food, drinks, and an overall memorable experience.

Our waitress, whose name escapes me, was very fun and personable. She recommended the ding dong cake, which you should absolutely not pass up. Sheppard's pie was really good, too.
