First visit finally! The Don Julio margarita was delicious. Was happy to discover I stumbled in on a Taco Tursday so that justified trying 3 different tacos. The tacos and portions are Very small but the beer battered fish taco was delicious. The chipotle crema added all the flavor. The birria taco consomme was to die! A must. The birria meat was very tender and the 4 pieces of diced onion and 3 cilantro leaf tops really added a nice flavor. The ground beef taco was okay… not remarkably flavorful. No sour crema included. Complimentary chips n salsa are not offered nor any additional bottled sauce options. A wedge of lime was offered with the birria taco. I did not love the actual tortillas. Minimal or stingy portions/components but what was served was good quality. Loved the margarita. Welcoming environment.

Great first time- would not have even known it existed and got such great reviews without finding it with Google. Mike behind the bar; Ty was our waitress- both very friendly and hospitable. Do not let the location deter you, it’s not downtown Plymouth, but the food was delicious & drinks were great too! I had burrito, other half had Burria tacos (with the au jus is the only way to go). Will definitely go back & glad we found a new little fave for Mexican fusion.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at jefé's Mexican restaurant and I must say, it was an incredible experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm and friendly service. The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting and had a vibrant Mexican flair. Now let's talk about the food. Oh my goodness, it was absolutely delicious! Every dish I tried was bursting with authentic Mexican flavors. The menu had a wide variety of options to choose from, catering to both meat lovers and vegetarians alike. The portions were generous, and the presentation of each dish was a feast for the eyes. The staff at jefé's were attentive and knowledgeable, offering great recommendations and ensuring that our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. The drinks menu was equally impressive, with a fantastic selection of margaritas and other Mexican-inspired cocktails. The highlight of the evening was definitely the dessert. I indulged in their homemade churros with a side of rich chocolate sauce, and it was pure bliss. The churros were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the chocolate sauce was heavenly.Overall, I cannot recommend jefé's Mexican restaurant enough. The combination of delicious food, friendly service, and vibrant atmosphere make it a truly memorable dining experience. Whether you're craving authentic Mexican cuisine or simply looking for a great place to enjoy a night out, jefé's is the place to be. Five stars all the way!

I rarely leave reviews but this one is necessary. Do not go in for anything more than a cocktail (I’m pregnant and had a mocktail and it was good). The food is mediocre and the moment I ate it my stomach has been going THROUGH IT. TMI but the worst stomach pain and vomiting in my life. Please do not think your getting Mexican food here because at best your getting a bootleg version of Taco Bell and a stomach ache.

Best experience I’ve had in Plymouth and I grew up here.. The wings were a VERY solid 9/10 and Mike (owner) is the coolest dude you have ever met. Very attentive and friendly. Food came out fast. Clean. Just an awesome restaurant. Will return for wings often. 5/5 overall.. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

One of my favorite places to go for good food, and good entertainment, in all of Plymouth.

Cozy restaurant with a decent sized bar. Parking is very limited on-site, however, it's not terribly difficult to find parking if you don't mind a short walk. The cocktails are awesome - they even have a mocktail menu available! The food is delicious! They do make their food from scratch & keep in mind that their tortillas are corn, not flour, so the taste is a bit different if you're not used to it.

I've had Jefes on my list to try for year or so now. I finally got the chance to stop by this afternoon. Mike, the owner, has been at it for a few years here after a stint learning from some of the local Vegas greats. His dedication shows--he provided great recommendations. Even a few years in? I heard him providing feedback to his cooks on how to make sure that they made the perfect entree and accompaniments to ensure a consistent experience for his customers. I started with a fried cod taco before moving on to the sweet and spicy shrimp taco and the steak taco. All were excellent! To accompany my meal I had an Abandoned Building Brewery West Coast IPA followed by the iconic Maine Lunch IPA.I'll be back!
