I am highly allergic to gluten. Even though I ordered off of their gluten free menu they managed to give me a salad with breaded chicken. This is the third time out of four that they screwed up our order. What is it going to take for them to pay attention to allergies.

You now have to ask for bread. No biggie but wish order waitress had let us know or the restaurant had it posted somewhere.Waitress was inattentive to us prior but more so once a large party was sat next to us, which the loudness of seven ladies detracted from the atmosphere.

My favorite Italian restaurant! I love the atmosphere, the waterfront view and the overall experience whenever we dine at Mamma Mia's. The service and food of course are exceptional! Have been a customer for years. Highly recommended.

We went her on a late night dinner which was such a convenience because it was right next to our hotel so we could walk there. We got there and they took us, about a 15 min wait. I got a chicken and broccoli penne with Alfredo sauce. It was just ok, I didn’t like the fact that the chicken was so chunky. The pasta itself could have been more seasoned. The waitress was very patient and pleasant considering we had kids with us and kids can be a bit much.

What has happened to Mamma Mia’s on Water St., Plymouth? We hadn’t eaten there in several years, but we’ve always enjoyed our meals there so we dined there last night. We both ordered the same thing as our last visit. I had the lasagna and the ingredients: sauce, meat, and noodles, tasted foodservice grade in quality. The portion was also much smaller than the last visit and arrived undercooked. Any frozen lasagna from a supermarket is superior to be honest. My wife had the chicken parmesan and barely touched it for reasons similar to my lasagna. For $55 there are other Italian restaurants in the area offering much better grade food. So Mamma Mia’s will need to improve sharply if they want our dining dollars again.

just left there. I understand prices are going up. I get it ,but their chicken Parm was over half of what it used to be and burnt. No mozzarella in sight , dry and we were there early so there's no reason they should've not done it properly. it was as basic as it comes. Very disappointing. we ordered two regular dinners no bread, no butter nothing just looking to get us out of there. The server was very nice no issues with him. It's not his fault but honestly on Valentine's Day. Your prices are inflated anyway do better. What's up with no steak tips at the Plymouth and Kingston location .

Disappointed! Pre-Valentines dinner ... Told "about 15 min" for 2 top... waited over 30min. Many tables sat while we waited -told reservation get priority over walk ins - (which was news to me that they "kinda take reservations" in the winter). About to walk out when offered table upstairs between kitchen and 20+ girls team dinner... otherwise we need to wait more ... no Thx ... we left, DISAPPOINTED to say the least! Not sure we will be back!!

I first visited Mamma Mia's years ago and it's as good if not better than it's ever been. You can find all the Italian classics here.

Let's talk about decisions... (from the perspective of a professional chef). A friend and I came to Plymouth from the outer Cape for a performance at Plymouth Memorial Hall. Traveling for 2+ hours to get to the performance venue, left us no time (nor desire) to eat at home. Not knowing the area very well, I did a google search of "restaurants in the area" - So many wonderful looking establishments with seeming great menus. My date is a little picky, and certainly is not fond of Seafood which eliminated so many options. I therefore refined my search to "Italian restaurants in the area". After carefully perusing each menu, I made a decision that Mamma Mia's would be just right. Although there is an online vehicle for making a reservation - I chose to call the restaurant to secure my seats with a live person. I was concerned that we might arrive late (or early) and wanted to have a clear understanding with the booker. Right from the get go - my experience was super positive. The person with whom I spoke on the phone was not only professional, but also understanding of my concern, and super helpful in making the reservation and assuaging my worry. So - we arrive for dinner (made it on time) - it was the evening of MANY simultaneous events in Plymouth. Lighting of a holiday tree, some kind of running road race and of course, the event at the "Hall". The restaurant was FULL! this made me even more grateful for the phone call and kind help of the restaurant's representative. We were quickly seated, then greeted by a very sweet server Nathalie (I believe), and proceeded to make food selections. Nathalie was very patient - even on a super busy night - with my high maintenance idiosyncratic requests. Service was quick and attentive, yet not overbearing nor fumbling. And now for the food experience. I had a quick appetizer - the Lobster and Seafood Stuffed Quahog, a (not so) small house salad, and a personal favorite (and my standard to "judge" the integrity of an Italian restaurant). Well - up to this point - I have been a bit effusive and verbose, well now - I'm gonna cut straight to the chase. PHENOMENAL! This food was beyond my belief. I LOVED the Quoahog, The salad was perfect, and the spaghetti and meatballs - well... it's 9 am (the next morning) as I pen this review, and - - - my leftovers have finally come to full temperature - and I'm ready for round 2. Note: I actually put this leftover spaghetti and meatballs in a pan on the stove to reheat - because - I thought this food (as we as I) deserved the best possibly quality return visit. I am ready to eat now, so this review will come to a quick end.My biggest disappointment is that I live 2 hours from this amazing establishment, and can't repeat this experience more frequently. I have already told two friends about this place ad nauseam to them, i''m sure.I don't take pictures in restaurants of food or the surroundings because I like to be more present with whomever I am with, that fact does not reflect on my extraordinary satisfaction with Mamma Mia's food and operation. I can't wait for when I can return, but more so - I can't wait to consume my breakfast! Spaghetti & Meatballs, take 2 - here I come!edit: after reading some other reviews - I'd like to comment on people's comments about the price / value - People - you cannot come to a tourist location where the costs of doing business - and that includes electricity, gas, food, - paying fair wages in an employee's market - where there are more jobs than workers - property taxes - just to name a few - and think that the price will rival your small town restaurant - or even big city restaurant prices. you are comparing apples to watermelons. I'll bet the price at Mamma Mia's is comparable (or even less) than much of it's local competition (just an assumption).
