6 Town Wharf, Plymouth
Thanks! We hope to see you again soon!
Recently ate here for lunch. The food is delicious and a nice portion. The staff is friendly and helpful. They offer outside dining which we did. Will go here again if in the Plymouth area.
This is an awesome spot right in the Plymouth Wharf area. They have a huge interior with plenty of space for socially distant dining along with an outside area in the back overlooking the water. Their drink menu is good with some solid options. We started with clam chowder and the steamers. Clam chowder was excellent with a good amount of clams and the was not too thick. The steamers were very good with just the right amount of sweetness and flavor. Next we went with the Cajun shrimp tacos and the salmon burger. Our friend went with the red snapper. All were excellent. The shrimp tacos had just the right amount of heat and popped with flavor. The salmon burger was excellent and really well balanced with toppings. The red snapper may have stolen the show as it was just dynamite. Kids were very happy with the cheeseburger, fish and chips and Mac and cheese. All in all this place was a smashing success and they are doing an awesome job during this difficult time. They have 2 parking spaces right out front for pick up as well. If you are in the area, definitely hit this spot!
We decided to eat here after touring the Mayflower and visiting Plymouth Rock. We were able to get outside seating easily at lunch time, and although we weren't under the tent our table had an umbrella that did the trick. The food was exceptional to say the least. For starters we had fried calamari and fried pickles. I ordered a lobster roll served hot with butter - which was amazing - and others in our party of five ordered cajun shrimp tacos, shrimp scampi, and the seafood risotto. Each dish had exquisite flavor and the portion sizes were generous. As far as the COVID procedures present - everyone was seated six feet apart and all members of the team at the restaurant were wearing their masks properly. There was only one instance where a bartender had taken their mask off to talk to someone for a bit, but we weren't near that area. Hand sanitizer is provided upon entry, and they even have a 'bathroom etiquette' sheet outside of the restrooms encouraging guests to practice social distancing. The food came out quickly and was overall very delicious. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful and I can tell that they have had to make several adjustments due to COVID to seat more guests outside; they are doing a great job of implementing the necessary procedures to keep their team and guests safe, all while keeping up on food quality. I highly recommend the Tavern on the Wharf!
Besides the very long wait for our food . My steak tips meal was a rip off . Almost 30 dollars and i got 5 medium size tips , the mash potatoes were like wet grits . Just sloppy soup no texture and maybe a spoonful , the asparagus were like steam fresh microwaved veggies you buy for a buck at the store . Awful experience , would recommend not going there . Sorry but terrible experience !
Took a mini vacation to Plymouth and went here for dinner. So happy we did!!! Nachos and fried pickles for starters were amazing (pickle dip to die for)!! For dinner I had the delicious BBQ pizza, husband had shrimp tacos which he loved and my son had kids pasta which he's still talking about;) Michelle was our awesome server and so friendly!! I highly recommend stopping here when in Plymouth and will definitely be going back!
Excellent indoor dining, service was timely and on point. Our server Owen did a great job even though it was his first week on the job .
Let's start by the unfriendly, robotic hostesses. Greeted with an unfriendly attitude, and proceeded to witness them being rude to other patrons as well. Then we got seated at a table in the sun when the request the day before was a shaded table. Had to stand there for 5 min until they allowed us to sit at a shaded table. Ordered drinks and waited about 20 min for them to arrive. The appetizers arrived before the drinks. The meals were not good. For an example I ordered the scallops with risotto. The scallops were okay, the risotto, that was advertised as lobster bisque sauce, tasted like uncle Bens rice with spaghettio sauce. To horrible to eat. That was $29. There are plenty of other places to go in Plymouth. Do yourself a huge favor and pass this place by.
Sat down outside excited to see some live music and the table was dirty, yet to be cleaned( also during covid). Sat for about 15 minutes without being seen and decided to leave after agreeing that we wouldn't be helped even for a drink.
I have found a unicorn! Tavern on the wharf- Plymouth ma.I don't even know where to begin this between the amazing atmosphere, they had an outdoor bar that made me feel like I was down south, just everything! we ordered some drinks which were absolutely amazing and then A guy from Downeast cider came around with full cans of cider for us to try. It was just amazing. We ordered a crab cake appetizer which are shown below however, the server came back telling us that they didn't have any more crab so they would substitute for lobster at the same price. Let me just tell you this was the most delicious lobster cake. Seasoned wonderfully and very moist. Aoli was absolutely phenomenal. We wished it came with a little more aoli. Of course I'm on the mission to find the best cheesy seafood pasta in America. This lobster mac & cheese was a heavy hitter but what was even better than the lobster mac & cheese was my roommates garlic, crab and shrimp mac & cheese. It was so flavorful, creamy thick and ample as cheese sauce should be. Pasta Al-denteDrinks were strong, service was good!
Lunch on Sunday. Mussels and Clam Chowda very good. Broth in mussels wine and garlic tasty. Chowda was fluffy smmmothe perfection. Had Lobsta Roll cold traditional heaps of Lobsta perfect. Wife had Grill Cheeze Lobsta with quawkamole and Tomatoe slices.. perfect. Reasonable price nice view of harbor .. I'd go back.
Run to this restaurant! Outdoor seating as well as socially distanced indoor seating. Fun and friendly staff and the food is really fantastic! The two appetizers, loaded nachos and spinach and artichoke dip, were served hot and were delicious. All seven of us had different entrees and everyone was so pleased with their food. My cod and vegetable risotto was scrumptious and light and the froze was a wonderful summer drink!
Chowder was great, rest of food was just okay. Music wasn't good for dining. Service was mediocre at best and didnt make me want to come back. Nice views of the bay though.
Decent seafood place right on the water with fantastic views. Service is a little scattered and uneven possibly due to the covid19 pandemic, but the food was solid, with generous portions of traditional seafood. Delightful list of locally brewed beers, draft, bottle, and can.
Good food, but seemed a little busy for COVID dining. I wish you had a vegan option. I had to modify the menu.
