The Tall Man and I were looking for a low key hangout with baby in tow, and Distraction Brewing was the perfect place. This new-to-us brewery on the cute pedestrian-only Birch St. had an outdoor patio but we opted for seats inside. It's not a big place, but it has a good number of tables and bench seating in a brightly lit space. The Tall Man got the autumn flight of 4 beers (one being one of their maltinis), which he enjoyed for their variety. I wasn't up for imbibing so I got a Health-Aid kombucha from the fridge. (They also carry Athlete's nonalcoholic beer in cans.) They have some packaged snacks for purchase, but they encourage people to get food from local businesses to eat there. It was pretty darn convenient to pick up lunch from nearby Chilacates. It made for a very chill lunch and sip. We weren't even the only ones with a stroller! It was a relief to find a brewery that's not utterly mobbed and where we could bring the little one. I would definitely come back for another relaxing hangout.

My favorite brewery in the Boston area! They have the best beers, incredible staff and the place is also very cute

Good spot for beers, great outdoor patio for the warmer months. Bring your own food also a great feature given the number of solid restaurants in the area.

Quaint little place to have a drink with friends. Food can be brought in from local places nearby.

First visit, so we got two of their specialty flights, each containing four small pours of their local beer, chosen especially for summer time. One flight was IPA focused, and had a range of moderate hoppiness, along with one juicy, in-your-face over hopped wonders. The other flight featured a delicious raspberry sour beer, plus an addictive "brewtini" beer cocktail. Service was so friendly and welcoming, and I liked their outdoor beer garden. We brought lunch from a neighborhood restaurant.

Great local hang! The maltinis are delicious and so is the jalapeno brew! Hope to come back soon

Distraction Brewing operates a triangular cornerfront taproom here in Roslindale Village with plenty of table seating for up to 25-30 people, and it also doubles as a solid venue for small to medium-sized community events. In particular, they've been very supportive of Pride and the LGBT+ community, so kudos to them for being welcoming, accommodating, and inclusive. As for the beer, there were 10 options on tap when I stopped by recently. You can choose individually, opt for a pre-selected flight, or customize your own flight. I enjoyed the Hoppily Distracted NEIPA, Vivid Flashback West Coast IPA, What'd I Say? DNEIPA, and Proudly Distracted cold brew coffee cream ale - all light, crisp, clean, and refreshing brews. Service was friendly and helpful, and there's a small selection of snacks available. You can also bring or order your own food if you want to soak up the booze with something more substantial. An excellent addition to the immediate neighborhood!Pro tip: talking about serious "distraction," you don't need to shove your drinks into the photo with your bare, moist, wrinkly hands and dirty fingernails. Keep all body parts, plaque-laced mouth prints, and distracting backgrounds out of the photo. Focus solely on the drinks themselves. #stayclassy #stayuseful #noyouarenotanarteeste

Super chill and clean bring your own food local brewery in Roslindale. Deceptively spacious. Great selection of beers and unique maltinis. Snacks and merch available in front. Pre made or self designed flights for $12 or $14 respectively.

Staff is always friendly, they give great recommendations. I don’t particularly like a lot of beer, but I love theirs. Pink lemonade and raspberry tart sours are great! Love their maltinis too! My favorite Friday night spot when they have live music!

I really wanted to like this place… First off I do want to say that the service from the bartender was top notch and she made me feel extremely welcome. The location is also nice although a bit small. The beer left me a bit confused and disappointed. I had the Pineapple IPA and the Vivid Flashback. Both were a bit flat and lacked what you’d expect from a place with such high ratings
