I've never been to any casino before, other than for: -a convention -a pro basketball game - a concert event So color me ignorant, because I walked in the MGM Spfld for the first time, with my young son, as I'd heard casino's are kid friendly these days. We were looking at a really cool gambling video kids four years old...he likes shiny, blinky things... and casinos look no different than video arcades these days. So, for me this is one of my regular getaways. Facility: This is kind of like a small town. No, there aren't a million restaurants, and there are certain things it lacks in comparison to other big casinos, but it has everything you need. It's also great that it's a non-smoking casino. Not a big selection of food. A simple mixed drink and house wine $30. Room is nice but basic. No coffee or refrigerator. If you’re up after 11pm and before 9 am, nothing is open to purchase snacks or necessities. You’ll have to walk to a gas station.
