Small place but the Food packs a punch. I've always wanted to stop in and try and I can't believe how long it took me to do so. I was greeted by the bar tender that pretty much helped me all she could . I ordered the fish and chips and some hot wings . She really didn't know to much about the fish and chips but I ordered anyway. I tried to play a quick pick of the numbers game while waiting and she wasn't able to understand the machine even offering me to look to see if I could figure it out. I declined and we laughed about it. She was a very nice lady tho! The food arrived to me in a quick fashion and I was pleased! I drove about 2 miles away and The fish was still crunchy although it was placed in a To go container without vent holes. The tarter sauce was definitely homemade the coleslaw and seasoned fries were good but you could tell they were commercially prepared. Looking at some other reviews about the food I was hoping for a hand cut fry option! I will definitely go back and would recommend to everyone

We have been loyal customers for the past 9 years. We enjoy the atmosphere, it's close to our home and always had good food. Although their hours are a little scattered we really loved coming. In the fall 2018 Mikes had been closed for a remodel and new kitchen updates. We were excited about the grand re-opening. It had been delayed a bit with lots of hype about a new chef/cook. Finally it re-opened December 2018. We have been three times since then and are extremely disappointed in the food. Former menu had classics, burgers, hot dogs, properly seasoned fries...new menu has a different flare. Some of the items I can comment on are the fried fish that has completely lost its taste due to being drown in a heavy thick greasy batter, steak Gorgonzola which wasn't bad but lacked presentation, chicken salad sandwich which was dry and served on an extremely dry/stale herb focaccia (I could not even eat this sandwich), hot dog although they were out of rolls, minimal overseasoned fries, tuna melt that was a very small sized sandwich similar to what you would have at home, burger which was small and under seasoned and prime rib which although on the smaller side compared to other restaurants, was flavorful. Sides lack flavor and over seasoned with salt. We will not be returning for food, we do love the atmosphere here though so will be in for drinks. I was sad to leave this review as we love the staff, owner and this establishment but are sad the new menu and food are just no longer good. Hoping to see it change in the future and go back to the way it used to be with amazing food!

Food was great. we were a big group. And the place is still kinda new with re opening the kitchen. Service was professional but needs to work out a few kinks. Definitely will give them another go. Staff is very nice and the best reason to visit again.

Never heard of the place nor do I ever travel into this part of town, but was asked to meet for lunch here so here is my review. It's a small building but not too small. Good size bar with lots of seating with some surrounding booths and tables. Clean and inviting with bar snacks and television to entertain while you wait for your order. My bartender was friendly and knowledgeable and informed me about some upcoming dates that the business will be closed. I wanted a clam chowder but they were out until Friday (must be good!) so I ordered a French Onion soup (see picture). This was by far one of the best French Onion soups I have ever had. Made from scratch which is always a plus served in the correct kind of bowl to serve the soup in too. The broth was to die for! And what was most memorable about it was the parmesan cheese sprinkled on top! For lunch I ordered the hot roast beef sandwich without the horseradish. It comes with onions too which I didn't mind but maybe a few too many for my liking in my opinion. The french fries were delicious, and HOT! Took a few moments for them to cool down but were cooked to perfection. My only criticism is the parking lot. It is not in the best condition and there are minimal parking spots. I parked across the street and while I waited for my company to arrive I noticed people leaving so was able to snag a spot. Overall I enjoyed my lunch and would eat there again.

First time there. Took a long time for steamers but family of bartender ordered well after us a sampler and got before us. Food was ok. Will not be going back.

Nice place, small but has outside dining. Burgers are great. We will definitely go back. The Texas chili was pretty damn close, best I've found in the area. Cudos Would have been 5 stars if you had glass pitchers for the beer, beer should never be served in plastic. We will be back and see what we get. The Texas Critic.
