This is an upscale hidden gem at VERY affordable prices specially aiming at those that are not willing to sacrifice quality but have a strict lunch budget. IT IS A MUST SEE!!!

We live locally and I'm honestly surprised that people gave this restaurant some of the reviews that I read below. This restaurant is a gem and classic in western mass. It has always been a great restaurant with amazing food and really incredible staff.I would highly recommend going there to experience the atmosphere as well as some great food!

My buddy an I both had the fish sandwich. He hand battered it an fried it right there on the spot. It was a dinner sized portion of fish on a bun. It was delicious fries were great and it was quick. We walked in here on a whim not knowing where to eat in the area for lunch. Now we know ??

The place has a small home town vibe. Unfortunately I was not greeted nor was acknowledged once I took a sit at the counter it took a few more minutes of recognition. Finally recognized I ordered the omelette with Spinach and tomato plus a side of pancakes. Pancakes were decent but the omelette was bad, still wet on the inside. The water I also ordered, well I had to ask again for it. I also had to ask for the check as the worker were busy on their phones. I really tried to like this place but every turn was unsuccessful.

We've been here 3x. The first time I ordered the grilled cheese and my fiancé got wings with the house sauce. The grilled cheese was good. Basic and filling, I got two sandwiches with the order. The wings were good. Large size and the sauce was flavorful. The two following times we both ordered the wings with house sauce and fries. Satisfied with the portions and the flavor is always delicious! Reheat value is good but not excellent with the wings, but we rarely have leftovers. The only reason I give 4 instead of 5 stars is it is a long wait. The wings are made fresh to order so they take around 15-20 mins to fry. I'm used to par cooked wings that need to be finished off in the fryer so they take around 5-7 mins. We enjoy going here whenever we're in the area and will continue to do business here. The owner is very nice and friendly.

Great little spot! Love that he hires kids through New England Farm Workers! Go check them out! They’re in the back from where Johnson’s Book Store used to be!!!

Their strength is soul food, I'll be checking out the soul food Sunday. I had a burger, it was small, cooked well done and came with freezer fries, for $7 it was acceptable. I tried my wife's order of chicken and waffles and the chicken was amazing. The waffle was just fine.

Hidden gem right near the Mass Mutual center. Good food and great service

Chef Ronell

Fish n grits has over cooked fish. They use a timer on their deep fryer and the fish comes out dry.
