Excellent, very fresh. Had iced coffee, special bahn mi, pork spring roll and special Pho(I know, that's a lot). Everything was very tasty.

Pho was outstanding - great flavoured broth and plenty of rare steak. Tried the pho sate and the sate was perfect. The omelette as part of the rice dishes was moist, not like the hard, dense egg that I have had in other places. This restaurant is truly a gem.

I love broken rice. It's one of my go too comfort foods and since I was on a long business trip I needed my com tam. This place is really traditional. It wasn't lying. I can tell from the pickled carrots and daikon, cut like flowers to the added cauliflower. That's how I make it! The egg quiche was generous and the bi was meaty. The rice was perfectly cooked. I also had the summer rolls. Great texture and the filling were generous. Amazing little mom and pop restaurant that reminds me of places in Vietnam.

All of the other reviews are correct and I'm only here to second their sentiments. Don't come here for the ambiance. Don't expect a 5-page menu. This is not a romantic getaway. It's about the food. The place is run by a husband-and-wife team, they have a small menu and stick to the basics. What they do have, however, is absolutely phenomenal. Well worth going out of your way.

If this is not the best Vietnamese restaurant in New England I'd love to know what is. Also they are open until 6, not 4.

My wife and I had been stopping for years at the places on Dickinson St. on the way up from CT to VT. Decided to try something new, and very glad we did. Both the pho (#15) and the barbecued pork over noodles (#20) were *way* better here. The other places are still good options if this place is closed or something, but if you're trying to figure out the actual best Vietnamese food in the area this place wins hands down. If I lived in the area I'm sure we'd be eating here at least once a week.
Really good place!! My husband and I have made many stops in this area of Springfield on our way to and from Vermont, always at one of the Vietnamese restaurants in the area. In the name of trying something new, we decided to check out traditional Saigon restaurant. It's now by far our favorite of the local pho places we tried. Cute tiny place. Sort of a diner feel with bright red booths. There was one high chair available for our baby to use, which was great. The menu is a lot smaller then some other establishments, but the stuff is amazing! We ordered the wonton with egg noodle and roast pork soup and the roast pork and vermicelli noodles. Both were incredibly flavorful. The broth wasn't super salty like it can be in some places. My husband kept eating it well past the point of being full. Good prices too! Big portions and the two dishes came out to under $20. Definitely will be returning!

If you would like to try a real authentic Vietnamese cuisine for a first time, this place is for you. Or if you have already tried Vietnamese cuisine before and wonder about your past experience, please give this place a try. The restaurant is clean and cozy. The hospitality and politeness you receive would allow you no hesitation to offer a good tip. You will be enjoying delicately prepared dishes with amazingly sophisticated flavor being influenced by the traditional northern cooking. Besides trying dishes on the menu, please venture out to the variety of their home made snacks, some of which you would not be able to find anywhere. That's how authentic this place is. I live in the Hartford area in CT and always wish that a slightly similar version of this place would exist. I sincerely hope you would leave this restaurant with a good experience like mine and kindly offer them a decent review. They work hard to earn your trust and visits. Bon Appétit

Ok let me tell what reasons I give them 5 stars. With type of people love foods like me, I tried most of Vietnamese restaurants around Springfield area on first few months when I moved to this area from Southeast. This restaurant don't have alot option like other one but all their foods look taste good overall and good price. That really Vietnamese food. Some people said their services not good at all, plz understand for immigrants people. If you guys looking for good Vietnamese food, this one is the one you should try and stay. Otherwise you looking for good communicate and romantic place that should go somewhere like 100 miles away.

That restaurant is easily overlooked. I was looking for an authentic Vietnamese. Here! There! That's it! I ordered Vietnamese iced coffee (lightly, I prefer stronger. Next time I will request for a stronger one). Summer shrimp and pork rolls, it had more greens in it and less noodles. Noodles with a grilled pork and veggies (menu nbr #1) I enjoyed eating it.
