The takeout I ordered tonight was the worst I've ever had in my life. Everything was reheated old food loaded with grease. The only thing that was edible was the chicken rice noodles. The rest of the order is in the trash. I called to let you know about the problem and I was told thanks for letting us know. $70 for horrible old food. I will never return to your restaurant again.

Ordered here tonight 12/30/22.Great people, food was hott. Noticed when we got home they missed our egg rolls. Food was extra greasy. Fried rice was burnt. Chicken teriyaki was good. Overall all decent food for a decent price.

I take back everything good I said about this place. Avoid this place. They're dishonest. You order online, agree on the total and then when you come to the restaurant to pay they slap on a $3.49 surcharge?!? WTF crooked business is this! I even showed her the online receipt saying $37.29. She still charged $3.49 surcharge. [...] This is unacceptable. You can't change the price like that. I don't care who's fault is this. They do charge a "to go" fee, and as such, I will never come back here, and add them to my collection of blacklisted businesses.

I want to start off by saying the food here is actually not bad for a cheap Chinese restaurant. The reason this place gets one star has to do with the service provided and transparency, that's it. Simple. I've been eating at this establishment off and on for like 20 years or thereabouts. I'm not sure if this is the same owner as when I started there, never really paid that close attention. But regardless, I've been a customer for close to 20 years if not longer. Never really had any serious issues with the food or anything really. It's quick, the food is typically good and it's along my way home from a couple of different places. So when my wife is traveling for work, I'll stop by on my way home and grab a combo plate. So yeah, long time been doing this. The other day changed all that. I'll never spend another penny of my money here. As luck would have it, my wife was away for work. I call in to Lake East, speak to the young girl and give her my order. Menu says $10.75, girl tells me my order is $15. Now, I know that we have meals tax, AND I know that the place is charging what they call a "temporary" 10% surcharge to cover their rising costs because they staple a message to your order and they've posted signs all over the restaurant. But still, math not adding up. I figure she made a mistake or something. I get there and she says "your order is $15" to which I reply "there must be a mistake, can you please explain this to me?". Turns out that the 10% to "cover rising food and container costs" isn't the only surcharge. Apparently, because I got CHICKEN chow mein instead of pork, there is an additional $2 charge ON TOP OF the 10% surcharge. So they're upcharging chicken. Chicken. Seriously? Nothing about it on the menu online or their website. That's where I draw the line. Look, I get it. Costs are rising, inflation is getting everyone. These people need to make money like the rest of us. But we're all feeling the pinch, that includes people like me. My bills costs more too. I need to stretch my money a little bit more. Nobody likes getting hit with surprise charges. Nobody. I mention to the girl that this doesn't seem correct and that it's not listed on the menu as being an additional charge for chicken. She insists it is indeed correct. So I paid the tab, and walked out the door. Never to return. There are far too many mom and pop Chinese restaurants in the area to support. If you can't be honest, upfront and post these things on your website or on the menu etc. than you are not being an honest business, plain and simple. On top of all this, the girl at the counter was kind of rude and condescending. AND after the $2 upcharge for chicken they were pretty light on the chicken, actually VERY light. Much less chicken than in years past. What was there was measly shreds of chicken. I'd have been better off saving the two bucks and just getting vegetable chow mein to be frank, because that's what I ended up with. As if all that wasn't bad enough, the fortune cookie was stale. Never had that happen before. Never again.

This was very standard Chinese food. It lacked even the standard level of flavor unfortunately though. Therefore, I have rated it only three stars. If the flavor was better, as it was bland and void of good taste, I would have been more impressed with this restaurant's food but unfortunately it was a rather mediocre meal.
