The food was top notch. We did have a loud party next to us which was not the restaurants fault and a server was slow to bring a glass of wine. Otherwise, it was truly a special meal. I like the new location and regret not having returned sooner!

The bread was terrible. The waiter got my order wrong. No apology!! Then when the check came he tried to charge me for the more expensive dinner than what I ordered. Would never go back there.

We love the restaurant and have never had a problem with the food (I did pay attention to the reviewer who said the white beans were salty), the service or the ambiance. The wines are a little pricey but worth it for a celebratory evening. We had the venison and the sole—both delicious as was the beet & goat cheese salad. I miss the white tablecloths from the former location, but that's my only, very mild critique.

The menu has an excellent variety and also makes it quite difficult to choose. Enormous wine list, as expected. The prices are reasonable. The food itself is delicious, especially the grilled venison chops. Plated beautifully and cooked to perfection. The side of vegetables were also on point. The atmosphere itself is great in that you feel like you're literally in someone's living room, and the dining area is separated from the bar area, which makes for a much quieter experience. Highly recommend for special occasions with a special someone,

Just not the same. Was seated at a floating two top - not anchored table and had waiter squeexing past me to get by- just off- Also the timing of everything seemed off- a push to ask for drink order- appetizeer came out too quickly - interuption etc

The food was quite good. Loved the porcini soufflé appetizer but it was not really hot in the center. Taste was fine. I had the veal (really good, but the white beans were too salty for me). Alan got the sole which was wonderful. I loved my affogato for dessert, and the apple crostada was great. Drinks and wine fine. All very good but not as good as il capriccio used to be in the good old days imho. Still, I'll be happy to return.

Simply the best Italian restaurant in metro west. Great vibe and consistently excellent food. For apps, try the octopus and the tuna crudo. Don't miss the 1/2 order of carbonara. You're welcome.

Delicious dinner! Everything was cooked to perfection (even the little bouquet of side vegetables). Imaginative and expert cuisine. The lemon mousse was one of the best things I've ever eaten. The wine was superb.

The new Il Caprccio is an elegant restaurant in every way: welcoming with impeccable service, relaxing and beautiful ambience and a superb wine list. What I would like to see when we return is slightly more imaginative food. Very good food, but not quite at the level I recall from earlier visits to other locations.

Every meal is special. Full disclosure, we have been going here for almost 20 years so it is obvious that we adore Il Cappricio. The reason is simple - every meal we've had has been delicious, the ambience is now even better in the new location and the staff treats us like family.

Everything about our experience was fabulous - cocktails, food, service, atmosphere. They knew we were celebrating a birthday and asked if the two of us wanted to sit in the main dining area or in the more intimate E-Bar area. We chose the latter. All the staff were attentive, professional, and friendly.

When the reservation was made I made a note in the reservation that I wanted a table away from children as it was four adults celebrating an adult birthday and not only did we get seated in a very nosy area but there was also a table next to us with children, also the waitress did not knowledge that we had a birthday in our group until I told her.

I picked this location as a meeting spot with friends I hadn't seen in 15 years. We had a lot to catch up on, but the staff was appropriately attentive and respectful of our desire to talk more than eat. They brought us to a more private table, filled our water glasses as soon as they were empty, helped us select some appetizers and were gracious when we didn't order alcoholic beverages or dessert. I will come back again sometime with my husband and enjoy more items on the menu and a glass of wine. The food is delicious, well presented and worth coming out for!
