I went there for the first time a few weeks back and just loved this place. Small intimate restaurant with exceptional food and service. I had grilled octopus to start and had the seafood with homemade pappardelle, delicious. My SO had caprese salad with unbelievable mozzarella. They had the stripped bass which was delicious. We ended with some sambucca, espresso and tartufo. Great evening. My only comment is that seating for 2 is mostly at the bar or high tops near the bar (especially on Friday). We sat in the front near the window and I didn't feel like I was in the restaurant. Otherwise a great time and restaurant.

Vinotta has our hearts! They effortlessly blend classic and modern Italian flavors, hitting all the right notes. We've tried different appetizers and dishes, and they were all delicious—big shoutout to the Scallop Risotto, The Lobster Ravioli, and the Bolognese. The eclectic atmosphere is perfect to celebrate a special occasion, or as we have been doing, for a well-deserved nice dine-out.The cherry on top is their outstanding service. From the welcoming host to the servers and runners, they are all about making customers happy. A big shoutout to Frank and Sergio at the bar, who were extremely friendly and service-oriented during our last visit. Also, don't miss the people in the kitchen and the runners wearing classic hats – lovely!

I love everything about this restaurant... EXCEPT for the high top seating that is considered “Standard”. I requested standard and was put in the high top seating near the bar. I need to be explicit next time and say I need a booth. Luckily everything else about the night was terrific.

Dined here on high recommendation of friends. Loved the formal, white-tablecloth setting and the general ambiance. The service was impeccable and the food (had two of the specials) was outstandingly delicious. It was overall, a delightful evening with another couple who were brand new friends. We will definitely return.

Probably one of the best Italian dinners that I have had, great spot for dinner near Boston.

Vinotta may be the best Italian in Waltham. We enjoyed our meal, but they didn't ask how well done I wanted my veal chop which, to my taste, resulted in a slightly overcooked piece of meat. They also claim to be able to do everything gluten free, however they could not provide gluten free bread. Despite this, the Burrata was delicious. And our other dishes were good to excellent. We were seated next to a post, the only such seat in the place, which made it difficult for my partner to use her arm — she was snug against it. It's loud too. The spumoni bomba is delish.

LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT VINOTTA. Have dined here at least a dozen times since discovering them, and have never had anything less than a trifecta of a delicious course of meals, spot-on service and hospitality, and a warm and well-appointed environment. All restaurants big and small should take pages from their playbook and lessons from their cookbook.

We have always had an excellent meal and dining experience. We recommend this restaurant highly. Christian is an excellent server and Dante has created another successful restaurant in the suburbs.

Excellent dinner. My wife and I were seated at a booth as requested. My only gripe is the desert we ordered was eaten before the coffee arrived. Other than that it was a terrific dinner.

I have always looked forward to date nights at Vinotta. However, I feel obligated to write that the last 3 times we visited, we left upset with the portion size. I had to ask for "extra " of the side dish - Tenderloin with gorganzola ravioli because they only give 2-3 ravioli with the entree. Our most recent visit my husband and I asked for this dish. The tenderloin was cooked to perfection, but there was was no more than 5 ounces of meat. The extra ravioli request only yielded 4 total Ravioli. We were both hungry when we left and did not want to ask for dessert because we were disappointed in general. Vinotta is one of the best Italian restaurants in the area, but it will lose our business because the portions are far too small for the price.

We were running a few mins late called ahead and let them know, couldn't have been more gracious and helped us find our preferred seating which is dinner at the bar. We had the stuffed mushroom appetizer , the lobsters/shrimp/scallop special in a pesto sauce and a veal dish. All were fresh, hot, and most importantly fantastic! The owners helped us pick a wine and checked in on us a couple times, such a positive experince . We will likely become regulars it was so enjoyable.

Delicious food and attentive service that was not rushed even though it was a busy Saturday evening. I ordered the sea bass, which was delicious, as were the accompanying vegetables. he noise level was a bit high, making it a little difficult to understand our server. Would recommend requesting a quieter table when you reserve. Overall, a wonderful experience and I will be back to try other dishes.

The food is a bit pricy given the quality. I had better dining experience at other luxury restaurants. One can find the same food quality elsewhere for much less the price and the ambience was also not something which makes it justify the expensive dining. The service was good.
