Good part the steamed momo was ok and used acceptable quality of chicken. The gravy and spice mix for the chilli chicken was not bad.Thats why comes the 1 star atleast or rather a half star would have fitted. Now looking at the good reviews(we rely a lot on Yelp reviews although we know reviews can be cranked up) and without actually tasting we ordered an hour early2 fried rice3 C momo2 chicken chowmein1 steamed momo2 chilli chickenWhen we reached there we realized they did not process it. No possible reason other than the fact we ordered over phone but not any food app? They just didn't provide any apology. Now the best of the worst part. I hail from a place where Nepali food is really good. and maybe know and missing the tast so this rant. The fried rice was made with soggy basmati rice! The rice in any fried prep needs to be dry. The chicken in the fried rice was just some utterly overfried lowest grade chicken bits which used to be chicken but nothing close to be chicken at that point. We let the waiter know about it politely, without any offer of apologies the cook uttered something arrogantly from inside the kitchen which made perfect sense to us that he was in no mood to listen even. So our waiter came back to lwt us know next time let us know not to cook the chicken so much. No apologies and sure there will be no next time. The C momo. You just can't serve momo which is not fresh even if the prep requires it to be deep fried. That made the momos shells and the meat inside just inedible. The chicken chowmein. We wanted it medium spicy. Believe me we are ardent spice eaters. They dumped red chilli powder which is not the only way to spice. Actually shortest and cheapest way to but definitely does not bring out that sovoury green chilli in vineger spice required for Indo chinese/Nepali food. And ofcourse they used the same lowest grade chicken bits for that prep.Chilli chicken I was able to tell the bell papers was fresh and the only part edible in it.A perfect 0 for the waiter who never even asked us how is everything guessing she knew how bad they served us.I really want to know from the past reviewers was the food even good 26 days ago and had this downward spiral since then? Or we chose Nepali food and ended up having too much aspiration about it and they just let us down.
If you're looking for Nepali food in Western Mass or the Pioneer Valley, this is the place to go! The place is understated but has a delicious array of foods, including options for vegans and vegetarians. I got the veggie momo soup, which was exactly what I needed on a cold winter day. Paired with Nepali tea served in a cupping-style mug, the meal felt like the most warming and comforting one I had had in a while. The staff was super friendly, accommodating, and helpful. As it turns out, the owner's brother lives on the same street in Forest Hills, Queens that I used to live. What a small world.I can't wait to go back for more momos and tea. This place is going to be a staple for me going forward!
Amazing Indian food!! Everything was fresh and tasty! I ordered a vegetarian thali and it came with a great assortment of dishes. Service was great as well.
Nice samosas and other dishes! Many dishes were not available though.
Good for one time, if you are not a Nepali. I went once..never going back. They are charging $18 dollars for curry goat. And the pieces of meat like small size shrimp. hahaha. They call it curry goat. They are making me a goat and charging an arm and a leg. Not going back.
We used to come to this place frequently! It was honestly really good back then, but their quality has SIGNIFICANTLY dropped. The soup of the jhol momo had no salt while the chutney for the momo had too much salt. I normally don’t leave a review, but I have been extremely disappointed by their drop in food quality :/
My wife and I picked up the food on our way to Boston. We ordered a Veg Thali and Chicken Momos. The quality and quantity of food was amazing, We really enjoyed the momo's and the hot sauce. We can't wait to order from Family Nepali and Indian Cuisine again when we pass Springfield MA.
Delicious. Would definitely order again. Very kind staff too. Egg rolls were the best we've had. Chicken vindaloo was great along with chicken curry.
Excellent momos and indo-Chinese chowmein. I am so excited to be in close proximity to this place. We also ordered samosas and egg rolls and I wouldn't order that again. They were extremely oily. So my suggestion would be to stick to the Nepali cuisine items.
Love this place! Have been twice. I am Indian and always scouting around new places, and this is really the best in the Springfield area. The momo is exquisite, and their onion and chili salad is a rare treasure. I recommend this highly to my desi friends and to anyone else looking to explore the world of Indian and Nepali cuisine! Great, friendly service. Thanks Tarash for the excellent momo, and mirchi pyaaz. Next time I will have to try some biryani.
Order from this place over Uber Eats. We called to make sure they had exclusive vegan dishes as a lot of Indian restaurants cook with butter or ghee. They were nice and helpful. When we received the food and after eating it, I would say the food was decent. Not the best Indian food I've ever had but certainly not the worst. The one thing that is really dragging this rating lower is the portion size vs the price were absolutely below expectation. I spent almost $100 and was expecting a lot more food. Probably won't return for that reason alone.
Extremely delicious food! The butter chicken was perfect, as was the Palak Paneer.
I have tried lots of Nepali/ Indian restaurants in servals states but finally I to get the taste that I have been waiting for it. Family Nepali & Indian Cuisine has served me the flavor that I was craving for. Their service Was excellent stuff were very friendly and humble. Chef AJ, cooks the best food & Tarash, the costumer service/waiter, is very professional. I would like request all of you guys go visit one time. I personally love to visit this restaurant over and over.
I ordered the mixed vegetables with rice. It tasted okay but disappointed the sauce wasn't at all thick and creamy as described in menu. The alooh paratha was just okay. But I would try other things.
