I got supper here and got the hut burger with fries and gravy and a drink. I was shocked when I realized that the burger itself is 11.99... like what?? I think 11.99 with fries would be good. The food was good overall but it's hard to justify based off the price. The staff create an environment that feels pushy or rushed.
This place has nostalgia, a lot of it. If you visited "the hut" when you grew up it was something special. Now as it ages it still holds fond memories. It feels like a diner or quaint drive-in. The food is pretty good too. Whether you are stopping by for ice cream or a burger, it doesn't disappoint. It's not fancy or complicated, it's just good.
We picked up burgers and fries. Service was great as order was ready on time. Burgers were fantastic! Fresh buns and meat was crispy dark on outside and tender on inside. Fries were not done...pale, floppy and no crispness, however they were not greasy.Second time back, the fries were nice and crispy and gravy was great also. The Krunchie chicken fillet was nice and crisp and crunchie, although for me it could have had a bit more meat to it, ...it was on the thin side.
