Had the rare steak pho and a Vietnamese coffee, and both were outstanding - the broth in the pho was some of the best I've had! It is also very cute and comfy in there with exceptionally friendly staff.I will definitely return, as a nearby Wolseley resident, and am super excited to try the bánh mi!

This restaurant used to be great. It was my go-to for quick and tasty food as it's close to work. However, the management changed in October and for me the change has not been for the better. My first encounter with the new ownership was not great. There was a sign on the window that announced, "Open Monday 10% Off". Eager to try out the new place, I headed there the following Monday to try it out. She rang up the total and charged me full price. When I asked about the sign outside she told me that it was for the previous week. So this sign touting 10% off had been up all week, and, I guess, the restaurant must have been open during that week? Anyway, she gave me the 10% which was fine.As I ordered my old favorite dishes, I noticed that they were the same dishes, but they were not the same. This is to be expected with a new owner with a different style or pallette. I expected some things to be different. But the things that were different were not improvements. Little things I noticed that were consistently not appetizing. The salad rolls always had thick, inedible end pieces where the edges of the wrappers come together and have hardened. The meat covered in dark charred bits from the grill that were not pleasing to the taste. The pickled ingredients didn't combine well with the flavors in any dish - rolls, subs, vermicelli dishes. Today the shrimp in my salad rolls had many pieces of shell on the tail that I pulled out of my mouth. But the shell in my mouth was not the most unappetizing thing that happened today. It was the conduct of the cashier who rang in my purchase. I want to support local businesses and one business I have come to appreciate is Skip the Dishes. I like the convenience of their app, being able to order food with a few clicks, and being able to pick it up. I love that it is a Winnipeg born venture. I'm helping bring revenue to two local businesses when I use Skip to order. However, today when I went to pick up my food the woman handed me a menu and asks if I have their phone number. When I say I have a menu at my desk, she tells me that next time I place an order to call them directly because, "when you use Skip, we have to pay."Yes, that is the point. Skip is a business trying to make money, just like you. And maybe if you don't want to pay Skip then maybe you shouldn't use them. This exchange felt really dishonest and coupled with the bad food experiences of the last few weeks has made me decide that I won't be using Skip to order from Tam's Pho anymore, and it will be some time before they receive my patronage again.I'm not saying the food is terrible and that you shouldn't eat there. I just prefer old Tam's menu and staff to the current ones. Maybe my tastes aren't your tastes. The dining area was full when I went in, so they are obviously doing something right. Just whatever it is doesn't resonate with me.If you've read this far then I will say one good thing about them, is that their peanut dipping sauce for the salad rolls is quite good.

Love Tam's Pho. Kids enjoy it. Always delicious. Owner is a gentleman and staff are friendly. They support the community too so you should supper them.

I've been a few times and tried a couple different dishes, and they have been good so far. I hope they keep this going. I'll adjust my star rating after I've tried a few more dishes.

It's a small place next to the RBC bank building. 4 stars because it's quite small but the food is incredible. The pho dishes are large and filling! And when I say large I mean EXTRA LARGE for under 10$. Awesome deal! The pho have tons of noodles and flavors. The bubble tea is yummy as always here even though the flavors are powder and not squashed fruits it's still really good. I've had the green apple, taro, and lychee and the green apple is my favorite. The boba teas are all really sweet and for the summer they added jackfruit flavor...I am excited to try it next time I visit.
