Overall it was great, until I had to use the washroom.... I do not recommend. It looks clean, but its actually not. They should provide seat covers or I recommend hovering over the seat!

This place is great. Hands down, the chicken and waffles (with two eggs on the side) was the best meal I've had at a restaurant in a long time. I'm not great with names, so I can't remember our server's name, but she was great. She offered drink suggestions since they were out of what we wanted, and they were really good. I feel that she was perfectly attentive, sometimes you get servers that come by too often, or not enough. But that wasn't the case. Both her and the girl who cleaned our table and seated us were very friendly. To say the least, our experience here was deserving of a good tip. This is one of those restaurants I'm going to have to keep note of, I'd like to come back and try some more of the menu very soon.

My wife and I went to The Tallest Poppy for the first time today. Everything was sooo delicious. My wife had the fried chicken sandwich and I had a Reuben, latke and matzo ball soup. Hands down the best reuben sandwich I have ever had. The service was great and the prices are definitely fair for what you get. We will definitely be back to try out the other items on the menu.

It was excellent. We had a great time at the drag brunch. We'll worth the visit

I once really loved coming here for the food and the cozy atmosphere. Unfortunately, the service we received our last visit was inattentive at best, unkind at worst. Our server passed us off to an extremely confused colleague who struggled to bill us while our the original server chatted with other folks at the bar. I want to support this business so badly but have too much self respect to return.

Honestly wish for more menu variety. Also, the servers and even kitchen staff...need to keep their hair tied/kept better.

Make sure you are super specific about side dishes even if it says a reduced price on the menu with certain things they will bill you full price. Paid way more for food then expected. Service is often terrible. Hyper aggressive at first like can't even sit down and get my coat off first. Then they disappear when you are ready. I haven't met a single individual server who was anything but rude. I live in the neighborhood and eaten there for the last time. Honestly I was tempted to never go back after the owner told me that whoever stole my bike probably needed it more and I should just get a new one. Didn't matter it was number 6 that year. I hate this place so much and after tonight will never reccomend anyone go there despite it's good food. Wpg is full of great restaurants with way better service and tact.

That's the best Reuben I've had in my life!It was cold; we kept our coats on despite the electric heater.

Craving Chicken? Try the best tasting Chicken in Winnipeg! So juicy, crispy, and fried to perfection. Also, the homemade gravy with fries was delicious. I highly recommend

My absolute favourite local restaurant in Winnipeg by far. The place looks as local and as homely as it can get. But not once have I ever been dissatisfied by what I have received. The servers are very welcoming and though understaffed on busy nights, the servers always arrive to the table a mere few minutes after you sit down. The food takes around 8-12 minutes but the wait is always ALWAYS worth it. The prices are fair and the atmosphere is wonderful. My personal favourite on the menu is the fried chicken sandwich and a Caesar salad, perfect breading on the chicken and the perfect bread. The bacon is cooked with pepper and bay leaves and creates an unbeatable flavour that does not disappoint. If you are ever looking for somewhere to go for lunch or dinner, pick here!!

Get the fried chicken! I had the fried chicken sandwich with coleslaw—dang delicious. The fresh cheese bread and super crispy chicken make it next level. A creamy peppery coleslaw cut it perfectly. My wife enjoyed the motza soup with mashed potatoes, which she reported was really good, but she kept picking off my meal ;) Atmosphere is very funky and a bit bohemian with great wall art around. Friendly casual servers, limited beer selection but full bar. Eclectic music playing. Great spot!

Not the best experience. Took very long to get our food at a non busy hour and our food was cold. Got the fried chicken sandwich. Very little chicken in the actual sandwich. Literally two bites and most of it was breading or skin. Servers weren’t very attentive. Underwhelming and disappointing.

Food and service is amazing! Prices are very reasonable. A nice diner atmosphere with a comfortable community feel.
