My family has been buying seafood from Thompson's for a long time and like any business there are going to be good days and some bad days. Last Sunday was a really bad day! We ordered food around 3:00 which is late considering they close at 4:00. Everything we ordered was cooked in old grease, it tasted like the grease was at least 2 weeks old. All the seafood was over cooked, not to mention the potato salad which is normally outstanding was inedible. I ate a scallop and as soon as I put in my mouth, I knew it was bad. So bad, that I have been sick all week. I cannot believe the market was ok selling the meals they did. I don't know if they knew anything was bad, but I am sure they knew the grease was bad as well as the potato salad.

My crabs were light number 1 males and I got mixed females. The number 1 were not worth the money. I paid $95 dollar for the both together. When I got home I was very disappointed after driving 1 1/2 hours one way. I have gotten crabs there before and they were good. I will not get anymore crabs from Thompson.

Wow. I just bought 2 dozen #1 crabs from this spot and every last one of the first 5 were like mashed potatoes and i nicely called to discuss and the owner hung up on me. $120 down the drain, take your money somewhere else. He was unnecessarily rude. I've patronized this spot for many years. Never again.. told me he can't see inside them so it's not his problem.

bad business rude service and scales on fish my wife and i went for some lunch and her fish came with scales still on it after it was supposed to be cleaned and fried after returning more fish with scales was given and the owner said all my wife had to do was take the skin off and Linda said she made fish twice and not doing it again they are rude and don't care about serving inferior products to the customer DO Not PATRONIZE HERE..they need be shut down

Racist Establishment! Black Buyers Beware!!! They have code words for the employees in the back bagging crabs. If you purchase #1 you will get a mixed of bag of #1s and #2s. The older white woman with gold blonde hair is the one who signals to baggers in the back or will say something such as I want some mixed can of vegetables in the bag. If you are white you receive what you request and a higher grade of crabs, which has been tested. I wish black people could be treated equal but since we cannot, I pray that everyone who participates in such practices reap what they sow!!! Black LIVES Matter and so does the quality of their food!!!!! PS: If you must purchase from them send a personal white shopper in the store to ensure you receive their sorted best and not what they have determined as low-grade negro quality.

The service was rather stinky! The food was okay, but it wasn't worth the little funky attitude that came with it. You have to wonder if it's one of those old time values from back in the day! All I can say is never again!

When we stop at Thompson's it's to get food to go. The fried oysters are the best ever. The oysters out of a quart jar always big when you buy the selects and they have really good steamed crabs. The service is quick and the ladies that run the place are very nice.
